As all of you might know the current blog post is just a simple rich-text which is fine for general posting. But many of our customers want a flexible solution. Like multi-column grids with different content-types like images, text, accordions/toogles ...    The only way to achive this right now is a custom module with all possible content types and pre-defined layouts and a repeater function.    It would be awesome if the blog post would get the drag&drop functionality so that every customer/user could design each blog post to his needs.  ...read more

My idea is to grant users the ability to set-up "structured data" on blog posts to help with SEO.   Structured data is a system of pairing a name with a value that helps search engines categorize and index your content. Microdata is one form of structured data that works with HTML5. Currently, whatever the page or blog post title is, the title tag <title> is the same. This is extremely limiting. A great strategy I use to increase CTR is to use different words and even brackets. However, I don't want these in my post title. Instead, I would like to be able to have a longer, more explanatory title on the site.    When a person arrives on a blog post, it is important to have the title to explain what they are getting. However, you can't always do that in 600 pixels Arial font 16px, which is what Google use for title in the listing. A succesful strategy that I have been using for a few years now is using bracket and other simples to increase CTR and having the title longer. Having a longer title also helps you to incorporate a secondary keyword phrase, which is another successful SEO strategy I use.  With the use of Yoast plugin, WordPress sites have had this ability for almost ever, but HubSpot's CRM pigeon holes you into only having a title that fits in Google's search titles.  ...read more

Currently you can only edit the blog listing head and the blog posts head shared for all posts. It would be nice to be able to go into a post and edit that individual posts head information.    1 example use would be to edit the social meta tags if you would like to preset an image that doesn't match the featured image or social descriptions that don't match the meta description.   There are numerous other specific situations where editing an individual posts head information would be necessary. It would be nice to be able to edit a canonical on blog pages. We have urls with and without capitals and fear that Google is seeing this as duplicate content. Hubspot supports canonicals but we need to be able to edit them.   ...read more

Hi, It would be useful to have the ability to easily add alt text to blog 'featured images'. At the moment there is no field to add alt text to featured images and the workarounds Hubspot suggests aren't optimal. For example: 1) https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/cos-blog/how-do-i-add-alt-text-to-featured-images-on-blog-listing-pages This fix will only pull through the title / name of the article (rather than specially written alt text) and does not display the alt text when you hover over the image. 2) Removing the featured image and replacing it with an image at the top of the 'body' text does enable you to add alt text, however, the image disappears from the blog 'listing page' making it much less aesthetic / clean. I would think this is quite a common issue for those trying to optimise alt text on their sites so hopefully if enough people have this problem, a fix / new feature can be implemented. Having just migrated to HubSpot I'm rather frustrated by the fact I have to manually add featured images to all my blog posts from Wordpress.   Its a relatively small blog but still I'm not looking forward to the task of having to do this 130+ times!   Could you write a plugin written for WordPress that could update the .xml export to include absolute links for featured images and then these be recognised in Hubspot as featured images and automatically inserted into the relevant post?   Thanks,   Neil ...read more

In early 2019, it was possible to export a list of Blog posts from Marketing > Website > Blog.  There was a link titled 'Export' in the top filtering links.    This feature was removed sometime in 2019 whan an interface change was made.  I've confirmed with Hubspot support that this feature no longer exists.   Who this is for:  Marketing teams that need to export Blog posts with a Title, URL, etc for importing into other platforms or for checking the most views and other data on Blog posts.   This feature is used to import into a 3rd party search platform to include Blog posts in search results on an Ecommerce platform.     Blog post attributes that were in this CSV export were: Publish Date Blog Post Name/Title Author Page Views CTA Clicks CTA Click Rate State (Published/Draft) Campaign Creation Date Last Update   Please restore this Blog posts export feature!   ...read more
