This issue has come up more than once for various needs: We need to add Partner (rather than other), some people are just business contacts (more details would delight me more than "other"). The inability to edit these doesn't give our business control of the stages and doesn't make us happy and hinders our business process.    YES, we create custom properties to handle this, but it doesn't simplify our lives. I am wondering if there is a way to upload the 'attachments' on a contacts page to be in folders instead of just uploading into a bit of an unorganised mess.   If that makes sense. For example with recruitment purposes, if we could create a 'Compliance' folder within EACH contacts page in the attachments section where I could upload any right to work documentation, passport details, etc etc & then another such as a 'Contract' folder that we could keep all contractual documentation, your employee signed contracts, employee details & bank details and so on, together in an easy to find location without having to root through all uploads.    I believe the attachment section could still automatically uplaod everything but then ideally i would like to be able to file these documents into easy access locations. ...read more

We have clients who want to track events, attendance, and other event-related information, but do not want to integrate with a third-party event tool. When creating a deal from a contact record, Hubspot will automatically title it as the Company Name (great) and add "- New Deal" on to the deal name as well.   There is no way to configure the system so that it does not automatically do this.     As we like to keep our company and deal names the exact same for uniformity, automatically adding the "New Deal" is something we are constantly having to delete.  I don't undertstand the reasoning for doing this as you can just runa filter if you want to see when a deal was created.  If you don't manually edit, then you can have a 3-month old deal that is titled "new".   Thoughts: - Just use the company name for the deal name if auto-populating. - Allow us to specify a property field/token for the deal name - Allow for custom copy for adding additional language onto an auto-pop deal name       ...read more

Our organization utilizes the auto create ticket for new email messages to help manage trends and reporting. While there are some canned reports for live chats, it is difficult to gleam WHY clients are chatting. To help rectify that, for now I have a ticket opened/closed per chat conversation.    I would love to see a setting that would allow the Service Hub to auto create a ticket per chat conversation. Issue: Tickets Owner and associated Conversation Assignee are not linked.   Use Case: Our support team rotates who is on call. Whoever is on call during a specified period of time will answer incoming client issues for that period. To facilitate this, we have the Conversations Inbox set to unassigned for new incoming messages. We also have it set to automatically create new tickets, which also have the ticket owner as unassigned. If a support rep claims a Ticket they set themselves as the owner, BUT the associated Conversation is still shown as unassigned.   As a result it diminishes our team's ability to work out of both the Ticket and Conversation areas concurrently, as ownership of something in one area is not reflected in the other. This reduces the usefulness of the Conversations Inbox.   Solution: When an unowned Ticket (automatically created from a new Conversation) has it's owner set, also assign the associated Conversation to the same user. ...read more

Our product catalogue in Hubspot is growing and becoming more complicated. Currently our ability to organize this list is very limited, basically just folders and sorting alphabetically.    It would save our team a ton of time to be able to have more control over searching for products when creating deals, such as an advanced search and/or being able to filter products based on product properties.  ...read more

Currently, there is no Conversations API. This makes it difficult to add functionality that we've built for other HubSpot components. Specifically, I'm looking to pull all messages from HubSpot, track how many we get each day, and classify them by theme so we can create content accordingly. We have specific use cases where conversations/tickets are assigned to specific members on the team based on the region where the contact is located.    We are able to successfully reassign tickets based on contact/company properties BUT are limited to just the standard conversation assignment for our inbox. It would be AMAZING to either assign conversations based on the ticket owner (https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Assign-Ticket-Owner-to-Associated-Conversation/idi-p/269373) OR be able to assign owner within the workflow.    Currently the workflow automation for conversations is VERY limiting and preventing us from using automation to maximze our team.    ...read more
