While you can create a task at the time you are writing/sending an email, you cannot do that for an existing email in the timeline.
The idea would be to create a task linked to a specific email in the timeline of a contact or company.
This would allow a manager to task someone with resolving or addressing a specific discussion/issue with clear and precise context, as well as the framework for resolving issues (who to contact, etc).
In keeping with the guidelines:
Who: Managers who are monitoring their team activities, senior sales people with trainees, etc, as well as salespeople working in a team
Goal: linking a task to an existing email within a contact or company guideline
Value: providing critical context for the task by linking to the specific email that contains an issue or other reasons for review, such that the complete framework for resolving the issue (such as who to contact, etc) is visible and transparent.
