For what it’s worth, if you’d like to provide a little feedback… I love Hubspot and how everything works, but the chat bot is rather limited. And I think Chatbots will be very important and quite common in the future for many businesses (the next evolution of website forms), as cost improvement through automation will become more prominent. With many businesses I work with… and most small businesses, they have a limited budget to work with, and can only pay for so many different things to be associated with their website. This means, there might be a decision that comes to small businesses in deciding between paid Hub Spot starter package, and a more functional paid chatbot that provides more value to the company. Taking into consideration other I am building a web package SAAS product, and that was a decision that I dealt with, trying to decide which pieces of paid software I was going to include in my paid package and which not. My pricing does’t really allow for both ( A paid chatbot, and a paid hub starter) And your incentives between Free Hubspot and Paid Hubspot aren’t really that intriguing. The primary difference I see between paid and free is the removal of your small bit of branding. I honestly think most businesses would choose the free version. In saying that, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don’t take away Free Hubspot. It is an amazing product that I am so thankful for. I know I am fairly new, but the difference between Hubspot and Forms on your website, and the standard Website and forms that go to email are night and day. This should be one of the competitive advantage you are beating on a drum loud and clear. If I were to suggest a modified marketing model: As mentioned before, beat the drum between HubSpot for website forms (plus your ChatBot), vs the Standard website form such as Contact 7 for WordPress, for gathering customer date. Just avoiding SMTP email issue alone would be worth it. You should be standard for WordPress, as opposed to email forms. This will get you in front of millions of customers. (You of course have to do some marketing for this), but you should the standard for websites. Rather than the incentive of removing your branding for paid starter package, make the incentive a more improved chatbot with features like basic decision trees and a few other simpler advancements. Now that is a lot of incentive to upgrade to Paid Starter package. If customers could get all the power of starter HubSpot, plus a nice chatbot with it, so they don’t have to purchase that separately, that is a lot of incentive for $45/month. I would even pay up to $65/month for all that. Plus, other chatbots don’t integrate with data collection like HubSpot products. That is the true power of Hubspot and needs to be made available to more businesses. Your next paid package is completely out of reach of about 85% of the businesses in US. An upgraded chatbot with your paid starter package is a marketing powerhouse that would be available to so many businesses. You are losing money to paid chatbots that are more advanced. You can capture all of the these customers, plus they get all the other power of HubSpot. This would be a miracle product for small businesses, web designers, and more.
