Hi there!   At the moment, there isn't any option to exclude employee activity from counting towards forms analytics, marketing email analytics or campaign analytics.   For the general web analytics this can be done by excluding IP addresses, however not for other tools in HubSpot.   Why is this important? There needs to be a way to test conversion paths (click marketing email, submit form on page) without skewing the conversion rates before even launching a campaign. (Deleting contacts after testing doesn't do the trick, they still remain part of the email and form analytics.) At the moment, there is a feature for 'Specific date' or 'Contact date property' in contact-based workflows. This will be a useful feature to have in custom objects as well.    The use case is to send an annual recurring birthday email to a custom object by enrolling the object into a workflow. I have explored the idea of copying the date property of the custom object to a custom date property of the associated contact, and then use the Contact-based workflow to send out annual recurring emails. However, this will not work if there are more than one custom object associated to the contact. We would like to add a feature that prevents that emails can be send out to recipients that are outside the responsible area of a user or team that sends out the email. For example, we want to ensure that an email originating from Spain cannot be sent out by mistake to another country like the Netherlands without proper permission. Background of the idea Currently, there is a possibility of sending out such emails by mistake, leading to people receiving unwanted emails. We know these mistakes can be prevented manually, but relying solely on manual actions to prevent this, is prone to human errors. Therefore, we propose to prevent this within HubSpot's basic configuration too. Moreover, in many countries, legal requirements such as GDPR emphasize the importance of taking all necessary measures to prevent the send out of unwanted emails. Our specific request to HubSpot is to add a checkbox in the settings that restricts email send-outs to the user's responsible area. In cases where someone needs to send emails to multiple areas for which they have no permissions, they can be designated as super admins. Hello product team,   For HubSpot admins, one of the biggest challenges is keeping a portal organized, cleaned up and prevent overall chaos. Especially in Enterprise portals with sometimes hundreds of users, it's almost impossible to get users to follow a naming convention for email names, landing page names, workflow names. Quickly this becomes a cat and mouse game where HubSpot have to constantly chase and remind users to name their assets correctly.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for users?   Naming conventions are usually documented outside of HubSpot, in a wiki, stored as a Google Doc or something similar along the same lines. Forcing them to interrupt what they're currently doing, look up a naming convention and then come back means that they're losing time. They also have to leave HubSpot momentarily. Even then, they might misunderstand the naming convention and type in an incorrect name.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for admins?   Incorrect naming means that list or workflow filters for Recent conversion might not work. It can also mean that reports become a mess, if these reports are pulling in asset names.   If admins have to look into this on a permanent basis, in portals where there are new assets every day, this takes time away from developing the HubSpot portal and generating more value for all users.   Here's what a solution could look like   To solve this, it would be great if there were tools to enforce a naming convention. Ideally, admins would specify what constitutes a correctly named asset and similar to the forms editor, arrange fields to their liking.   Here's a quick mockup of what this could look like when creating a new page.     The user could select from dropdowns which team they belong to, the language of the assets, the asset type, include a title and date. The system would then generate a title from this that cannot be further edited.   Admins should be able to specify the options for each dropdown, separators, order and field validation (e.g. max length for a title).   (In case this is eventually introduced, please consider to make this a feature that is at least included in all Professional and Enterprise subscriptions.)   I would love to see this for all assets in HubSpot: emails, workflows, lists, campaigns, imports, properties, files etc.   Thanks in advance for reviewing! ...read more

I would like to send an email that displays different images based on the "type of work" a contact says they do - this is a multiselect function. For example if they say they do type of work a, I want to use a smart rule to display image A. If they do type of work a, c and f, I want to display images A, C and F.   At the moment I can set smart rules for all of this content using each type of work option as a contact list.   What I can't do is say DON'T DISPLAY this image as default, UNLESS they are in the appropriate list. If you don't meet the criteria - show nothing. If you meet the criteria, display the appropriate image. The workaround at the moment is to display as default a different image e.g. something transparent but this is a bit cumbersome. ...read more

By default, marketing campaigns acts as a compiler of assets which provides us an overview of all the data of the assets assigned to it. This is very convinient (especially once this one is also implemented ~ https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Allow-an-asset-to-be-tagged-to-multiple-campaigns/idi-p/699417) however we saw that the unsubscribe data isn't compiled. Its weird given that the data is already available on each marketing email. How come this data isn't summarized?   We hope that this would be included soon. ...read more

In the new Marketing Email view, the search functionality has also changed. Previously, you could search for any string within the Email Name and get a result. Now, however, you must search for the full Email Name, in order, to find anything. For example, we have a particular set of naming conventions for our emails that include the [WebsiteName][Type of Email][Name of Series]. It was very quick and easy to search for the "Name of Series," but now I must type in the other 2 pieces that are repeated among many emails. (Example: in the title "ETpodcastNRR" I should be able to just search for "NRR.")   This has become a tedious time waster since I have to type long strings to locate any of our hundreds of emails to clone. You can filter email recipients by hard bounce and soft bounce, but it would be much more insightful to have a more granular level of detail. Specifically, we want to be able to distinguish between emails that were undelivered due to being caught by a filter (which can result in either a soft or hard bounce) and emails that were undelivered because they were invalid (which always results in a hard bounce). Ideally, you would retain the soft/hard bounce filter and incorporate an additional filter with the following categories: Email security filter (can be soft or hard bounce) Invalid email address (always hard bounce) Unknown user (always hard bounce) Mailbox full (soft bounce) Temporary server issue (soft bounce) Blocked by recipient's server (can be soft or hard bounce) Deferred due to high volume (soft bounce) Recipient's server unavailable (soft bounce) By including these more specific categories, you can gain a clearer understanding of the reasons behind undelivered emails and take appropriate actions to improve your email deliverability. ...read more
