HubSpot does a great job of already providing short links for social media posts automatically. However, our organization would love more data around items that are clicked on within emails and landing pages. We tend to do a lot of deeper link tracking, so basically, we want to track how many times someone goes to a landing page or clicks a button to download, but after those intial clicks, we want more data around what they click on once they get there. So for example: which link do they click on within the downloadable pdf, how many times was it clicked and from where: i.e. email, social, organic search. For the deeper tracking, we use bitly, because behavioral events in HS don't provide enough data around what content is being clicked after that first click and what's moving the needle and where the click came from. Bitly, doesn't currently integrate with HubSpot other than to create a short link for social. This seems redundant since HS already provides shortlinks for social automatically. I think it'd be a better option if Bitly integrated with HubSpot for email and landing pages, or if Bitly could partner with HubSpot to provide more data around behavioral event clicks, so that marketers like myself could have a better understanding about which content was clicked on after the intial click, from where, how many times etc., and without having to create everything in an HS landing page. If anyone else would love to have this integration to make the process less manual, stop creating hundreds of bitly links that takes forever or Google utm codes, and have an option that's easier to coordinate please share. Or alternatively, if HubSpot could provide more data around deep clicks somehow from the behavioral event side, so we just aren't seeing the amount of clicks but also where they came from (source) and tie them to our overall campaign data that would be great. As a side note I also think HubSpot needs an out of the box campaign dashboard where someone can see and sort all of their campaign data - which would ideally include link tracking on a deeper level for better insights into content generation. Basically, I think the Bitly integration with HS could be much better, or HubSpot could improve the behavioral event and CTA tracking, so it's like the parent link and all it's child links, with the amount of times the links were clicked, where they came from, and the campaign they are tied too, so we don't need bitly. Either way we'd be happy.
