Older database users tend to expand the size of the screen to see small print. When they do this, you limit the amount of information on the screen and you have to scroll. Typically, anything that is not the monitor screen, at first sight, is ignored. If you look at Goldmine, for instance, the screen is all in one block, horizontally. Not scrolling down. This allows someone to take a screenshot, see all the relevant information and work more efficiently. This may sound like a minor issue and the answer may be to "just get used to scrolling" but with the demographic of older baby boomers being the largest group in the workforce, it does affect them. And if they are the decision-maker in buying the software and using it, they need this feature. So on the contact screen, if there is an option to see it horizontally and keep the fields above the fold, that would help tremendously. I've attached a screenshot of Goldmine and know it's a horrible UIX but it's meant to show a horizontal approach on one screen above the fold.
