Creating our first Chatbot and having an issue the support couldn't come up with an option for us. So, here I am. To start, our bot is more for informational purposes and not lead generation ( B2C), but if I can get their info, fantastic! Want to start off by getting the users name and email. Name no problem, as most people don't have a problem with giving their first name. BUT, when it comes to an email address, not everyone wants to give one. The option in the chat builder has a question for email, fantastic.... Only it's setup as a kind of mandatory field, in that something in the form of an email HAS to be entered or you can't go any further. We want to make this as a Would you like to give us your email? option Yea or Nay. If they give us the email or not, then the rest of the bot continues. at the end of the Nay option, I get the option to then branch them to the basic intro question, where the meat of the bot lies. BUT, for the Yes answer I can never get it to continue to the intro question. So, my question is..... How do I make an optional Email question, part of my bot? OR Hubspot, how about integrating a form into the bot, instead of making the user go through multiple prompts for their information? Thank you all in advance. Key West Scott.
