While attempting to do custom reporting on audiences that interacted with specific marketing campaigns, I found that I could not in both the reporting and workflows tools. Currently, in Hubspot, each email has its own unique Hubspot email campaign ID, which can be used for reporting only, not workflows. And I found that even though multiple emails can be associated with a Hubspot marketing campaign, that marketing campaign itself has no Hubspot marketing campaign ID! This is my use case: I want to make a workflow that tags people who received any email from a marketing campaign. This way I can put them on a suppression list from receiving other promotions and do audience analyses for segmentation and performance purposes. Instead of being able to achieve this by adding one identifier for the marketing campaign, I have to find and choose every individual email that was sent in the workflow. I can't even use the Hubspot email campaign ID in the workflow! Furthermore, when I tried to create reports using the Hubspot email campaign ID, I am limited to just one. So I can't include all emails associated with the marketing campaign in one report! This all makes creating a workflow and reporting very tedious, prone to error (if I miss any emails), and time-consuming. Solutions: Create a Hubspot Marketing Campaign ID to encompass all related assets Make the use of any Hubspot campaign ID available in lists and workflows. Allow the use of more than one campaign ID in reporting You already have a marketing email campaign ID. Just add a higher level of data taxonomy here to include them all in the related email campaigns! I'm actually surprised this wasn't thought of. I can't be the only one going this deep into analyzing email performance.
