We have recently implemented the use of Quoting to push out from HubSpot all of our order forms to prospective customers, and upon doing so we have noted the major security flaw the URL generation has the potential to cause.   The public nature of the quote, post submission/ approval, is a security risk, leaving pricing, customer and contract information available. Although the auto-generated slugs add a level of security in its complexity, there is still potential for public access and user sharing, of which is unacceptable for such a sensitive process in a customer's journey.   A few suggestions to mitigate/ remove the risk here could include;   1. Introducing password protection against quotes sent out/ URL's generated from the process, shared only via individuals with access to the quote produced.   2. Locking down (unsure as to how) URL access based on the senders/ buyers on the quote being built/ sent out.   3. Making the URL generation 'optional', allowing generation of a quote without public URL against it.    The first two options above are more favourable, owing to utilising the e-signature platform via linking. ...read more

According to this support article, it's only possible for a user to use the formatting tools if they have super admin access.    Why is that? Shouldn't contact/account editing rights be enough? I'd like to give certain users access to quickly clean up data without giving them complete access to the entire platform. I've already set up all the automated corrections that will work for us, but there's still a lot of contacts that need to be reviewed manually, so it'd be enough to give users access to just manual review and not automated formatting corrections.  ...read more

Greetings team, I would like to propose an idea to make the tags visible on the article page.   Why: I'll tell you a use case which will give you a clear picture of why we want to do this. Given that we have different products and each product has n number of versions depending on multiple releases over time, in this case, we want to tag the articles to their respective versions and at the same time, the end-user should be able to see the product versions that the article is applicable for.   Since we have only 2 levels of categorization (main category & sub-category) there's only so much we can do to handle this scenario.    I understand that every business works differently, so we can include a toggle to show/hide tags on the article page. ...read more

We sometimes have the case that customers rate us CSAT 2 out of 7, and then they write an email or respond to our success team, that they did not understand the rating well and wanted to have 6 out of 7 instead. Now, we cannot change the rating but only delete it, which is unfortunate if at the same time we wanna keep the text message (which often already is an indicator customers got the rating wrong). Hi, When working with multiple inboxes and a lot of users in the conversation inbox, it's a nice feature to move conversations without assigning directly to a specific user. So the other team can decide how to and when to assign.   Since a recent update this is only available to users on a paid seat. When working with enterprise clients this causes a huge increase in seats only to move a conversation correctly.    Suggestion: make it available to move a conversation without assigning it directly to unpaid users. ...read more

Hello product team,   For HubSpot admins, one of the biggest challenges is keeping a portal organized, cleaned up and prevent overall chaos. Especially in Enterprise portals with sometimes hundreds of users, it's almost impossible to get users to follow a naming convention for email names, landing page names, workflow names. Quickly this becomes a cat and mouse game where HubSpot have to constantly chase and remind users to name their assets correctly.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for users?   Naming conventions are usually documented outside of HubSpot, in a wiki, stored as a Google Doc or something similar along the same lines. Forcing them to interrupt what they're currently doing, look up a naming convention and then come back means that they're losing time. They also have to leave HubSpot momentarily. Even then, they might misunderstand the naming convention and type in an incorrect name.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for admins?   Incorrect naming means that list or workflow filters for Recent conversion might not work. It can also mean that reports become a mess, if these reports are pulling in asset names.   If admins have to look into this on a permanent basis, in portals where there are new assets every day, this takes time away from developing the HubSpot portal and generating more value for all users.   Here's what a solution could look like   To solve this, it would be great if there were tools to enforce a naming convention. Ideally, admins would specify what constitutes a correctly named asset and similar to the forms editor, arrange fields to their liking.   Here's a quick mockup of what this could look like when creating a new page.     The user could select from dropdowns which team they belong to, the language of the assets, the asset type, include a title and date. The system would then generate a title from this that cannot be further edited.   Admins should be able to specify the options for each dropdown, separators, order and field validation (e.g. max length for a title).   (In case this is eventually introduced, please consider to make this a feature that is at least included in all Professional and Enterprise subscriptions.)   I would love to see this for all assets in HubSpot: emails, workflows, lists, campaigns, imports, properties, files etc.   Thanks in advance for reviewing! ...read more
