According to HubSpot's Support team, whether a HubDB created Page appears in the XML Sitemap or not can only be controlled at subfolder level.    We have a scenario where a parent page should be indexed by search engines, but the many pages within the subfolder should not. Unfortunately, this means the entire subfolder of content has to be included in the sitemap so that the parent page is easily indexed.    We've added a noidex code to the subpages, but at scale this is a huge number of pages we're telling search engines to crawl via the XML sitemap, only to then say "don't index".   And the result is that we have thousands of these noindex pages clogging up Google's crawls of the site, and significantly delaying the indexation of new content.    A solution like a Yes/No column in the HubDB table that says "Include XML Sitemap" would be ideal. We've tried developing one, but it is not being recognised by HubSpot and is being overridden by the Subfolder rule mentioned above. ...read more

This request refers to this feature: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/website-pages/approve-hubspot-content   At the moment, super admins automatically have the status of an approver, by default. If you're a super admin, you can approve marketing emails and landing pages and you appear in the dropdown of approvers. Super admins cannot be removed from that dropdown.   However, not all super admins have touchpoints with marketing or necessarily have the background knowledge to judge whether an email or landing page should be approved or not. On the contrary, super admins typically deal with questions of portal infrastructure and especially in larger organisations, they don't handle operational tasks like email approval.   Approving emails and landing pages is typically a marketing admin function - and while there might be marketing admins who are also super admins, that's not always the case.   I would like to request that super admins can be removed from the approvers dropdown.   In larger portals, there can be a larger number or approvers and super admins and having these mixed together in one long dropdown of approvers can be misleading for users who request the approvals.   There is also a risk of a super admin being notified to approve something although they don't have any knowledge or context of it. ...read more

Magic links for private content are great but no system template appears to exist to customise the one-time link sent for the new passwordless login success page.    Given system templates exist for all the other related pages - login, logout etc.. nothing for the passwordless feature is a handbrake on the UX.  ...read more

Currently, it's possible to add list memberships as a rule to show a module on a landing page. Could it also have the option to exclude specific lists? For example, when creating Thank You pages and displaying content (Reports, Whitepapers), it would be good to hide specific modules from competitors to get access. Thank you. ...read more

Hey friends!  So today I was trying to troubleshoot a countdown timer video that I included on a landing page. I made sure all the settings were set up properly so that it auto-plays the video, and the video controls are hidden for the user. The whole idea is to create pressure to incentivize the audience to fill out my landing form quickly. However, I realized that if at any point the user travels away to another tab and then comes back, the countdown timer video will pause and a play button will appear (which obviously negates the illusion I'm trying to create of increasing the pressure for them to submit the form). I spent a good amount of time troubleshooting this with Nick from HubSpot today and he and I tested a few different options to no avail.  I would really love to formally request that a module be added for HubSpot users for a countdown timer. It would be great if that were an integral module option in HubSpot to add to a landing page, hopefully to prevent the countdown timer from stopping/pausing if the audience travels away from the page.  We see countdown timers used online through various shopping outlets, whether you're placing an order for a discounted item on a website or getting those highly coveted Taylor Swift tickets, that countdown timer provides just the right amount of pressure to incentivize the audience to fill out the form. In my specific instance, I have a Facebook boosted post offering a free planning guide if they click on the link to my landing page. Then once they get to the landing page it has the countdown timer video I made (in Canva and then uploaded to HubSpot as an mp4 video file). And in the video I said they would get a 2nd guide free if they submit the form within 3 minutes. I know that this method works to get people to submit the form. I just wish the video play for my countdown timer weren't so wonky. 😅  I'm sure an integral countdown timer module in HubSpot would deliver the pressure I want to create more effectively, and all would benefit from having that option.  ...read more

Developers are limited to using version 5.14.0 and can't update themes to version 6.   Who: developers creating themes and marketers using themes What/goal: ability to use the latest icon sets Value: adds backwards compatibility   If the theme was created with 5.0.10 it is not possible to update to 5.14.0 because 5.14.0 is not downward compatible with 5.0.10. Updating the icon_set would break the icons on existing website pages where 5.0.10 was used.   Fontawesome introduced downward compatibility with version 6, but since HubSpot doesn't allow version 6, it's not possible to update existing themes.   Editing to include that without this update, users can't select TikTok or the new Twitter X icons.   Editing to include the icon field now supports v6.4.2 which works for all new themes or custom themes (doesn't resolve backwards compatibility issue). ...read more

Hello product team,   For HubSpot admins, one of the biggest challenges is keeping a portal organized, cleaned up and prevent overall chaos. Especially in Enterprise portals with sometimes hundreds of users, it's almost impossible to get users to follow a naming convention for email names, landing page names, workflow names. Quickly this becomes a cat and mouse game where HubSpot have to constantly chase and remind users to name their assets correctly.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for users?   Naming conventions are usually documented outside of HubSpot, in a wiki, stored as a Google Doc or something similar along the same lines. Forcing them to interrupt what they're currently doing, look up a naming convention and then come back means that they're losing time. They also have to leave HubSpot momentarily. Even then, they might misunderstand the naming convention and type in an incorrect name.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for admins?   Incorrect naming means that list or workflow filters for Recent conversion might not work. It can also mean that reports become a mess, if these reports are pulling in asset names.   If admins have to look into this on a permanent basis, in portals where there are new assets every day, this takes time away from developing the HubSpot portal and generating more value for all users.   Here's what a solution could look like   To solve this, it would be great if there were tools to enforce a naming convention. Ideally, admins would specify what constitutes a correctly named asset and similar to the forms editor, arrange fields to their liking.   Here's a quick mockup of what this could look like when creating a new page.     The user could select from dropdowns which team they belong to, the language of the assets, the asset type, include a title and date. The system would then generate a title from this that cannot be further edited.   Admins should be able to specify the options for each dropdown, separators, order and field validation (e.g. max length for a title).   (In case this is eventually introduced, please consider to make this a feature that is at least included in all Professional and Enterprise subscriptions.)   I would love to see this for all assets in HubSpot: emails, workflows, lists, campaigns, imports, properties, files etc.   Thanks in advance for reviewing! ...read more

It is already possible to use smart content based on the URL parameter, but not based on the URL itself.   For global modules, it would be great if you could specify for certain pages that the content should be different from the standard content. ...read more
