A lot of our clients need the possibility, to send internal information to generic email-addresses, for example when forms have been submitted (e.g. a contact-form routed to a "support@"-inbox).
Since it is not possible anymore to enter a generic email-address (that is not set up as a HubSpot-user) for the submission notifications, we have tried several other ways. Sending notifications to different addresses, depending on what was entered in the form, is even more complex.
- if you add the addresses as HubSpot-users, the accounts would have to be fully set up to be able to either enter them in the form, or for internal notifications within a workflow. As partner-agency, we would thus always need someone with access to the inboxes, to set up the accounts on client's side.
- not a nice solution altogether, but if you alternatively want to send the notifications via internal marketing-mail, the internal contacts will always count towards the marketing-contacts-limit, and you additionally face the risk, of someone unsubscribing and the teams therefore not receiving the notifications anymore
There should be a way to flag/identify these generic addresses to make the set-up easier and avoid the issues outlined above.
