We auto create tasks when we assign leads to our reps. The default options are: Tomorrow at a specified time 2 business days 3 business days etc.  It would be ideal to have a 1 business day option that would account for opps being assigned on a Friday or over the weekend. Hopefully this would also fix our problem of leads that come in at the end of the day, that get assigned with a task due at 8am the next morning, when reps actually have 24 hours to respond.  ... When creating a task, it defaults to being due at 5 pm. There is no way to change the default for this. You need to manually change every task which is time-consuming. There should be an option for default this time to one of your choosing.  ... View more

We need to have permission for some properties to vary depending on the user. Currently available in Hubspot is object level permission (i.e. for each user, define what he can do with all properties of contacts, deals or companies, etc.). We need property level permission (i.e. for each user, define what he can do for each property on contact, deals or companies, etc.)   Use case 1: some contact properties affect how the commission of deals belonging to those contact will be computed. Only users with specific privileges (e.g. managers) should be able to edit the property defining this. Without this available, we are at risk that a sales rep edits this field to increase its commission.   Use case 2: one contact property defines the expected deal value of a deal if one is ever closed. This affects the priority of the contacts. This value is computed outside of Hubspot by analysts and is then mass-uploaded. Hubspot users have no need to be able to edit this value. The same way some properties can only be edited by Hubspot, we need some properties to only be edited by admin / special users.   Note @ Hubspot:  - Users will need to be grouped, probably in teams. One issue we have is we like to get the email notifications for various tasks, but it feels redundant on step 1 since task 1 is always immediate.   We had two ideas on how to handle this ...   1) delete step 1 from the sequence since it's something that should be known anway. This didn't work since you can't delay the first step. Being able to delay the first step would allow the team to take that intuitive first step at the time of enrolling customer in the sequence.   2) send notifications for only follow-up tasks that aren't automated - there shouldn't be a notification email sent for something that is an immediate follow up. ... IDEA: Sometime last week [week of December 14th 2018] the option to create a Task without a specific time of day disappeared.  Now all new Tasks created force selection of a time of day as well.  This is burdensome and inconvenient IMHO.  Please correct me if I'm wrong but Task creation screens have changed.  My IDEA is to reinstate previous screens so that the option to create a non-time dependent Task is available.  Thanks ... Be able to enroll a task in a workflow. We currently have contact-based, deal-based and ticket-based workflows, it would be great to have task-based workflows. Below are a few things that could be done with it.   Use case 1: send an email notification to the manager if an urgent task is overdue For some tasks, it's ok to be overdue for a few days, for others, it's not. With  task-based workflow, we could build the following workflow: if {property x} = yyy and task is not completed and due date was 1 day ago or more, then send an internal email notification to manager@company.com   Use case 2: Once a deal is Closed Won, delete all currently associated open "sales tasks" We have task created automatically via deal-based workflows to follow-up on deals 7/30/60 days after deal entered stage ABC. But if the deal becomes Closed Won before those tasks become due, there is nothing to highlight the user they no longer need to be completed. Hence, they stay around, uncompleted and without a need to be completed. When an activity is logged and the option is presented to "create a follow up task" i would like to be able to edit the title of this task during this step, one is only allowed to chose in how many days the task will be created. I do not find the current subject "Follow up with Bob" very useful. It creates several extra clicks which I have to remember to do in order to change the title after the task has been created. ... A customer recently asked whether it would be possible to get the task reminder pop-up that we see displayed in contacts home (see screenshot) to show up when working through a task queue. Since their users are exclusively working in contact records to do their follow-up, a reminder to create a new task right after marking an existing task as completed would help them improve the relationships they are building with customers.      I found the following Community Post showing some additional interest in a feature like this.
