When an email sequence is created and people are already enrolled, it would be ideal to allow for edits within the sequence. Edits can be made now, but the new content is not what customers see if they are already enrolled. This would enable us to edit emails not yet sent within the sequence. ...read more

Hi HubSpot,   I'm experimenting with automating first interactions and call invitations of our sales team via a toolset consisting of lead processing workflow and sequences.   I realiezed that there is no such option as setting the contact owner as sender of (emails in) a sequence, I have to pre-define sender here: The opportinity to enroll contacts into a sequence is great but without the sender = contact owner it means that I have to create as many branches as sales colleagues, which makes my worklfow a giant, and pretty inconvenient to maintain.   Please consider enabling sender = contact owner option here.     ...read more

Currently, when an inbox disconnects from HubSpot, the sequence bulk unenrolls everyone at whatever point the inbox disconnected. In order to re-enroll contacts at the correct place in the sequence (rather than have them receive any steps more than once), you have to export, create lists, and re-enroll manually.  Since inboxes can be disconnected due to a variety of IT security parameters or other issues, this is a fairly frequent occurrence that greatly disrupts prospecting and sales activities.   A better solve for this would be that, in the case of an error on the sequence that occurred due to an inbox disconnection, the contact gets paused in the sequence, rather than unenrolled. That way users can easily reconnect their inbox and unpause contacts where they left off.  ...read more

The ability to configure automatic enrollment and unenrollment for a sequence based on preset criteria.   Provide Professional tier customers with the ability to automatically trigger a sequence to enroll or unenroll based on different contact criteria or engagement.     -----------   This is now in public beta! View the flow here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8u1n51n   Details on existing functionality: You'll be able to create automation triggers from an individual sequence, that then create actions for that specfic sequence. EX: you'll be able to set a sequence to automatically enroll when a specific form has been submitted. Or you can set a sequence to unenroll when a specific page is viewed. The intial 'triggers' are 'Form submission' and 'Page view' We have chosen these triggers first because each are 'reactive' scenarios. Sequences in these scenarios can be built with a personalized/segemented scenario in mind, and would trigger one at a time We still strongly discourage any scenarios of 'proactive bulk automation' at all tiers. As we include new triggers and actions, we hope to be prudent in avoiding functionality that might directly or indirectly encourage this type of use: IE: Enrolling a large list of contacts into a sequence The actions are 'Enroll in sequence' and 'Unenroll from sequence' We currently have this functionality in a public beta. If a customer books a meeting using your Hubspot Meetings hyperlink it automatically attributes that meeting back to the 'Sequences' 'Meeting Rate'.   There are many times that a customer replies to your request for a meeting, and books a meeting with you manually which never gets documented in the 'Sequences' 'Meeting Rate'.   You should be able to attribute 'Meetings' back to 'Sequences' manually. ...read more

I would like to be able to view the tasks from a sequence before they are "created." From the contact record, I can see the steps of any particular sequence for any particular prospect and their associated dates. However, those tasks aren't actually "created" until the day of, which means I cannot see those future tasks through any of the task filters. I'd really like to be able to see upcoming calls that will be generated by a sequence, so that I can plan an appropriate amount of time each day to follow up with people. Because I run multiple sequences with a varying number of enrolled contacts, I'm never quite sure how many calls I'm going to have in my task list each day. If I could easily see the number of calls assigned to me each day, it would allow me to better plan out my sequence enrollments. Does that make sense? I love the fact that I can set a default value for a personalization token in marketing emails. That way if we're missing a value in a contact record, we don't have to worry about looking like email marketing rookies. But it's frustrating that we can't do the same thing in a sales sequence email. Why is there the option of setting a default value in one type of outbound email but not the other?
