I'm an Account Executive and I think it would be great if there was a feature that allowed me to delete historic data within a sequence and get a true reflection of the performance of a sequence with exclusions.    For example, before enrolling contacts, into a sequence, I tested it using a test contact and clicked on the links within the emails to make sure that the sequence works as I wanted it. However, when I unenroll the test contact, they are still reported on in the sequence overview. It would be great if that contact could be deleted from the sequence in order to get a report that hasn't been skewed when it comes to reporting on the sequence.  ...read more

Issue:   Right now, if a contact gets enrolled into a sequence that includes email sends, and the user changes the email address of the contact mid-sequence (i.e. after enrollment), then when the next sequence email is sent out, it goes to the old email address. The new email address will not be sent the sequence emails. Also, a new contact with the original email address will be created and the emails will be logged into the new contact record. This is expected and makes sense from a technical perspective: if a contact/email address doesn't exist in the CRM, and a new email is sent and logged to HubSpot, this creates a new contact record, as per: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/settings/log-email-in-your-crm-with-the-bcc-or-forwarding-address But this is not the most intuitive from a user standpoint. Users would like to be able to easily update the email address of an enrolled contact & then to have future sequence sends go to that updated email.  Workarounds  1. To ensure that the sequence emails are sent to the new email address, the user has first unenroll the record from the sequence and after updating the contact's email address, re-enroll it again into the sequence. This will register the *new* email address of the contact so sequence emails will be sent to that newly updated address. OR 2.  Merge the contact records (if that is relevant)  Alternatively, the user can consider leaving the contact in the sequence,  then creating a separate contact record for the updated email address > enrolling this new contact into the sequence ...read more

It would be great for sequences and marketing emails if you could set filters for the clicks through time after sending - i.e. HubSpot would only count clicks if its more than 1 minute after it was delivered. This would better help us filter out who is actually interested and interacting with our emails from the security features on emails that auto-open and auto-click links scanning for risks. ...read more

I'd like to see the meeting rate for sequences count folks who have ever booked a meeting from the sequence, not just folks who book before the sequence ends. I have a customer who had a sequence with 2 emails in it. When the second email was sent, the customer did book a meeting using the link in the email, but it didn't count toward the meeting rate for the sequence because the sequence had technically ended.    Adding a task and delaying it a couple of days is a bit of a workaround, but it isn't foolproof because once the task gets created, the sequence ends (not when the tasks gets marked as complete)   I'd like to get attribution to the sequence anytime someone books using a meetings link in any of the sequenced emails instead of just when the sequence is "active". ...read more

The ability to send SMS is key for most businesses, even for businesses that don't market with SMS, being able to send this for sales or service is key to allow timely communications with clients.   Although there are lots of external platforms which allow SMS, they are often clunky and with procurement requirements in the Enterprise space preferring a lean supply chain of fewer suppliers, the ability to do this directly in HubSpot is key.   This could work in the same way which calls does within HubSpot, utilising the integration HubSpot already has with Twilio to perform the following:   Craft and send SMS via Workflow actions Send 1:1 SMS via a contact record Trigger workflow actions based on an SMS being received (similar enrollment criteria as marketing emails) It would be great to be able to utilise the conversations inbox to manage replies It would be great to be able to create bots in chat flows to automate SMS conversations   The privacy and compliance element can be managed to utilise the current subscriptions mechanism allowing subscription types to be created for either email or SMS whilst also respecting GDPR tools such as legal basis and the boolean unsubscribed from all communications.   A log of SMS messages similar to calls could be run within an object like the below:     Within the conversations inbox:     With Chatflows:     In Workflows:     ...read more

The default reports on the sequence summary page (shown below) do not provide adequate insight as to how a sequence is performing, or functionality to allow folks to view and act on the contacts that are currently in a sequence.   Additional reports are required to get the full picture for how my sequences are performing, and the existing reports must be updated with behavior and functionality to allow me to see how contacts are engaging and responding to my sequence.   This idea was created by the HubSpot product team to communicate progress and take in feedback on this active project/current priority.     ...read more

We are running into issues with our Sales team having the ability to edit emails within Sequences that are used by a team. When a user copies a template, makes customization and goes to save, the "Update Template" button is listed first. This will update the original template causing existing sequences to get messed up with someone's customizations.    We belive having the ability to lock these by the Super Admin will help BIG time!        ...read more

Hello, our team just upgraded to Sales Enterprise so we could use the "Enroll in Sequence" actions within our workflows. We use Hubspot primarily as a lead assignment and qualification tool for our Sales team, which experiences frequent turnover, so any amount of "hard coding" names into our workflows adds up to more maintanence. There are several other areas within Hubspot where "owner" properties can be selected instead of individual names, and I feel the Enroll in Sequence sender is a prime location for "Contact Owner" to be an option.    The best way for me to illustrate this is to describe the problem I've just run into. So here goes.    The lead enters my workflow. The lead is assigned a contact owner via the "Rotate record to owner" action. I now wish for the lead to enter a sequence wherein they are contacted by the new contact owner. If "Contact Owner" was an option for the Sender, this would be a sustainable one-action process. However, because I have to select a user by name, I now have to step back and add an "If contact property: Contact Owner equals any of *specific user*" action with equal branches for each sales rep, and then in each branch add an "Enroll in a sequence" action with each sales rep as the sender, and then redirect each branch back to a common next step action using the "Go to other action..." action. And not only that, but if one of my sales reps leaves, or if we hire a new sales rep, I have to go into the workflow and remove or add a new branch specific to that rep.      This issue is only compounded if I wish to do this for multiple different Sequences, as I'll need to build out similar trees for each sequence, all with specific users and names that need to be maintained.
