Hello Dear HubSpot Community Members! 🙂 Today, I would like to share with you my experiences on local SEO and get your opinions. I present my ideas on the impact of SEO optimization and backlink work, especially on Google Maps. 1. Google Maps and Local SEO: Local SEO allows businesses to reach users in a specific location. Entering business information accurately and consistently on platforms such as Google Maps and Yellow Pages increases the findability of the business for users. Keeping information such as address, phone number, logo and location name up-to-date and accurate can help Google trust your business and rank you higher. 2. Backlinks and Google Maps: While backlink work for websites can often be perceived as spam, the situation seems to be a little different for Google Maps. According to my own experiments, backlinks prepared for Google Maps send positive signals to the platform and positively affect the rankings on Maps. My experiences: When optimizing for Google Maps, it is important to remember to use information compatible with other platforms and keep this information up to date. I also noticed that backlinks for Maps were not detected as spam and these backlinks improved rankings. My questions: What are your experiences with SEO optimization for Google Maps? We recently created a Tracking URL in Hubspot in the hopes of getting insights on the programs we're launching the UTM link for. UTMs are often used to track the performance of campaigns and content. What's currently being provided as a UTM feature doesn't give enough context into how our program is performing--we have no insight to who these people are and if they took action on the page they visited.    From what I understand, it would be helpful to not strip UTM parameters from visited URLs on contact records. If providing this as a searchable value, we can, at a minimum, have the ability to search for contacts related to this activity and/or create workflows that can sync contacts (who visited the UTM link) into our CRM tool.   At a very minimum, is it possible to update Tracking URL functionality in Hubspot to be reportable (with UTM parameters)? ...read more

It would be great to have the following options for SEO recommendation scans   (1) interrupt/cancel in-progress scan Since scans can take several hours, it would be handy to have the option to interrupt them to re-prioritze other urls etc.   (2) allow exclusion of subdomains If you would prefer not to include some subdomains to save time/resources e.g. to exclude the knowledge base subdomain    ...read more

It would be nice if you could easily noindex blog tag/topic pages and author pages.   There are 36 pages being indexed in google for our blog tags and authors. All 36 of these pages are thin content and showing up as duplicate content using siteliner.com which isn't helpding our visibility in search.   Our only recourse right now is to add /author/ and /topic/ to our robots.txt file. However, I doubt this fix is likely to remove them from Google's index permanently because there is a link to the author profile and topic page on every blog. I'm creating topic clusters in more than one language. We are e.g. creating clusters about Phishing, which is the primary keyword then. The issue is, that it's also called phishing in Dutch, German, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, so I can't differ the clusters from each other. Not in the main overview, but also not when I have to e.g. target pop-ups to be shown when visitors are on a page from a cluster.   If I have an English pop-up that I want to show in the English topic cluster about Phishing, I have NO chance to know if i'm choosing the English cluster or not.    Therefore, the idea is to create some kind of language indication besides the name of the cluster. Stories are now used by Google (like every app). https://stories.google/ Now Wordpress seems to have a plugin where you can easily create story pages for Google.  Maybe this is an idea for a module or extra option for Hubspot. ...read more
