The Sequences threading solution offered by Hubspot is inferior to other tools because it doesn't show up as a reply or with previous content below the reply signaling to a prospect that it is automated.
It does overwrite the template subject line to remain the same so that "if" a prospect has conversation view on the individual emails with separate content will group together. However the follow up emails will not show "Re:" before the subject line and the email content does not string along as would be the norm if someone was sending follow up emails directly. Based on that limitation when using Sequences you have to adjust your email content on subsequent emails because the body of the email has nothing to refer to inside of it unless your contact navigates to previous emails which is unlikely when prospecting. They might scroll down to see what you sent before but navigating to separate emails seems like a high barrier when trying to engage prospects.
Here is a cut and paste below I've received with an automated sequence. I've removed the company and product name so this doesn't appear like a pitch for them.
We are a Hubspot Marketing customer so I'd prefer to stay engaged with the CRM Sales Pro tool, but there are so many limitations to it from Sequencing, to Email Open location data being substandard to other tools I've use for years, to limited Sales Management features.

I'd be grateful if you let me know whether it's a timing thing or is it just-plain-no ;) All the best, Greg

Cullen, apologies if I’m being too persistent, but I really believe there is a fit between our companies - so it would be a waste to drop this opportunity (we have great successes with companies of your profile). If you are too busy, maybe someone from your team can talk with me? Thank you in advance, Cullen! Greg

Cullen, I fully understand that answering my email is not your top priority, but I’ll try to convince you that it should be. How? With “social proof” aka “why should you trust me?” - the most basic sales technique ;) Here it is:
We have more than 300 happy customers (some of their love & case studies here -
It’s so dead simple that the founder alone is able to set up 20 meetings in a day (ohh Martin…)
“The thing I really like about X is that the tool is easy to use and that it’s a massive time saver.”
“Using X, I don’t worry about prospecting or lead generation, I just close deals”
And last but not least, we ourselves are growing our revenue 20% every month using our solution ONLY, pure outbound - it has to work, right?
Cullen, all I’m asking is 15 minutes of your time (or your colleague’s) in order to check whether we can help Wonder Tech, please. Greg

Hi Cullen, I’ve reached out to Gerry, your CEO, but I’ve realised you are probably a better point of contact regarding this (as a SVP of sales). We found a way of connecting you with all of your potential customers, filling up sales funnel almost instantly. If it sounds interesting for you, please follow this link to learn more - /outbound_sales_automation/ - or just drop me a line ;) Cheers, Greg

It would be nice to be able to export all details to an Excel or CSV file with filters so that we can analyze or look at and manipulate the information. If there is a way then can someone please be kind enough to let me know how to do this.

Dear Sales Pro Community
To customize email templates in Sales Pro, it would be great to be able to use Sender's first name, last name and title, pretty much like it's possible to use the Sender's calendar.
It would definitely help make generic templates that you can use accross several members of your team.
Of course, we're using the owner of a contact but this odes not provide us with the ability to use its first name nor is title.
