Hello Friends, I bring to your attention the fact that the File field type only functions as an actual File upload field IF you use it on a form.  Within the CRM, it functions as single-line text.  This is a significant limitation.   Here are some challenges that it presents: 1. Cannot enforce business process - One should be able to require a file to be attached to move along in Deal or Ticket stages.  This way you can ensure that a Deal or Ticket (or custom object) cannot progress to the next stage until the requisite Files are attached.  Consider a BDR > AE handoff mid-funnel. 2. Cannot support an approval workflow - if the above were true, then a document could be uploaded and "submitted" for review within a pipeline, which could serve as an approval workflow.  This request comes up often as other CRMs do this very well.  Consider a Change Order approval process, or an Invoice Approval process being built directly in the CRM! 3. Poor documentation - A completed Deal or Ticket record should have all necessary documentation attached to it in an organized manner that is reportable.  The Attachments association pane allows for attachments on records, but nothing of the above   I am really curious as to why this is not (yet) possible, but I believe that it would have a major positive impact on the user experience and allow HubSpot to stand up stronger against other CRMS where this is possible.  I would welcome an opportunity to hop on a quick chat with a member of the product team to talk through this use case and demonstrate the value that this would bring to the CRM. ...read more

When sending links to documents within emails from Hubspot and the sender/user forgets to deselect the "Require an email address from all other viewers" checkbox when inserting the link, it creates a new contact if the recipient enters a faulty (typo) email address.  Please give the option to default the Documents so that NO email address is required to view the document(s). ...read more

When searching in the Sales Documents area, it should be possible to search for key words and phrases, and/or tags, in order to easily locate a Document of interest.   If you have many documents, it's not very easy to find the right one if different users have used different naming conventions.   ...read more

Hi team,  in order to apply team views and structure document types, I'd like to propose the idea to add several attachment sections as an option.  To give you an example: we work a lot with team views as different teams require different information about a contact or company - this is very easy in HS, great! However, I am not able to provide a section for i.e. the procurement team where they can attach framework contracts that is named equally.  Also, our C-level would like to attach some docs to some clients, but they don't because theres's no attachment folder that I can label "Docs for management only" and then restrict this section by only adding it to the managing directors view.  Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks  Marie ...read more

It would be extremely helpful to change the source of where Gmail and HubSpot share documents. Currently, when you send a message out of Gmail and you try and add a HubSpot document, it pulls it from (example: HubSpot's "Sales"-> "Documents"-> "Sales Kit"). You should be able to change it to pull documents from (example: HubSpot's "Marketing"-> "Files"-> "Sales Kit"). Hi! I would like to propose a new idea. I would like modifying Create a Deal fields would be easier.    When Sales rep enter the deal using "Create Deal", I want them to be able to add any file as an attachment.  This can be very helpful since we could add P.O. or Invoice or any relevent document or file that could help distinguish the deal and also store all valuble information in one place.    Currently you can attach a file  only after you created a deal. This makes the data entry of CRM inefficent and redundant. I hope this feature gets added!      ...read more

I would LOVE to see specific phone numbers listed with the call made in the within the contact under activity. **Not just the contact's number but also which outbound number I called from.
