There should be a check box or something that would allow you to make an included line item optional. The system would immediately recognize this, perhaps highlight the line item in different color, and then add small verbiage that says something along the lines of "Optional Line Item - not included in total price" or just "Optional". Additionally, it should mark the line item cost/price as zero so that it's not included in the total price of the quote. This I believe is better than simply adding a line item and then setting the quantity to zero. It may confuse the customer.

I have some issues with validation rules for products. They don't apply for line items. In my case I want to send the line items to a ERP-system for invoicing and I want to restrict my sales reps to use more than X amount of characters on a single line property since the PDF invoice only can display X characters. What do you guys think? Wouldn't it be great to have the product porperty validation rulse apply on line items as well?

Once a quote has been created, its deal association can no longer changed. For example, if I were to create Quote A, it was originally associated with Deal B. However, we only realized that it was associating to the wrong deal after the quote has been published. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to change the association of Quote A to Deal A at this time and quotes would have to be manually created again.

When creating a quote template, it would be helpful to assign a set expiration for all quote using that template. For example, all quote using a specific template will be assigned an expiration date of 30 days after creation date.

Spell check for the quoting tool in the comments to buyer and purchase terms would be tremendously helpful. It is frankly expected in any rich text editor, so much so that someone may be unaware that they have any spelling errors given the lack of squiggly red lines under misspelled words. This has messed me up multiple times.

Our product catalogue in Hubspot is growing and becoming more complicated. Currently our ability to organize this list is very limited, basically just folders and sorting alphabetically. It would save our team a ton of time to be able to have more control over searching for products when creating deals, such as an advanced search and/or being able to filter products based on product properties.

Currently there is only 1 section in the quote for Terms. It would be ideal if there is an additional sections for T&Cs that can be added to the quote as Appendix. Ideally this should not replace the section Terms because that is often used to add default language about the (specific) solution. You want the T&C's after the signature box.

Hi, has there been anything set up in the product library that will help with access to folders? We would like to create a folder that only Managers can see not our sales staff as it is artwork that we are getting ready, and should not be looked at, is that possible? I am very surprised this has not been set up, surely some companies create products that are not ready to be released yet, that are kept in an access-only folder. We have artwork that we are working on and is not ready to be sold, we do not want our sales guys to see it yet, but they will look through all the folders in Product Library to get a heads up and we can not do anything about it, if we could have a folder that we can limit accesability this would help us greatly.

Sometimes when a deal is closed won, with an approved/sign quotes changes must be made (because of a sales misunderstanding or error) Even if the sales team create a new quote for approval, this old quote need to be canceled. We need this functionality to avoid having quotes that are no longer valid related to deals that are closed won. Thanks

Hey HubSpot We are strong advocates of the Products/Line Items feature in HubSpot and offers great context behind deals. What we're finding with clients and ourselves alike, is the functionality request to be able to associate Products to Tickets. This is often because someone may raise a ticket that corresponds to products or services bought and it would be great to have the Customer Success team get visibility of this. Now, we know we can access this via deals, but in some cases we want to restrict the Customer Success team's access to deals as it may be overwhelming if they're adopting HubSpot for the first time. As we can import data into Products as it's own object, it would be good to be able to associate them with the other standard objects as well. Thank you Sam
