When negotiating a deal, dropping a custom discount on-the-fly can often be what ultimately tips a lead to a customer. In turn, that discount changes the value of a deal...or at least, it should!   The trouble is, right now it doesn't.   Custom discounts aren't automatically reflected in the deal value and it's not an option. So in order to keep deals up to date, every time a new discounted quote is produced, a rep has to remember to head back to the deal and update the value manually.   That might be ok once. But doing that multiple times, on multiple deals is setting reps up to fail. What's more, it seems kinda crazy, particularly when product level (i.e. a discounted version of the product) discounts are reflected in the deal value.    So it's not that the value doesn't update. It's that discounts are disregarded despite unqeustionably impacting the value of a deal. How is this intended behaviour?   Sure, we could go in and build out 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% discounted versions of each of our products, but where do we stop? It seems like it would be incredibly confusing and result in an unnecessarily bloated product library, while making the in-quote discounting essentially arbitrary.   The inconsistency adds confusion for reps, extra steps toward managing deals in the pipeline, and will likely result in inaccuracies when it comes to reporting—meaning extra time double checking the values on all deals.   It seems like it would be easily rectified. I suggest either making it standard behaviour for a deal value to sync with the most recent/accepted quote including discounts, or to at least have some option for that behaviour to exist. ...read more

Hi! My idea is that the quote tool should be editable by the customer. We would like the ability to send over a quote that allows the customer to fill out their shipping address, billing address, and email POC. At the moment, this feature is not available, and the workaround is creating a form for the customer to fill this information out on and then creating the quote. While I understand the workaround, I want this process to be as frictionless as possible for the customer and less back-and-forth means faster turnaround time. Thanks! ...read more

I would like to be able to create coupon codes. Then, I could create a single payment link - send that payment link to anyone, and they could receive a discount using a coupon code. To accomplish the same thing now, I either need to create a separate discounted payment link, or create and send a "quote" that they will use to pay. With a coupon code, I they could pay with a discount directly from the landing page/sales page.  ...read more

Dear HubSpot-Support,   This improvement suggestion will add value to any Sales Rep:   Role: Account Executive (AE) and Sales Development Representative (SDR), or similar role. Goal: Adequate written transparency on the quote about agreements between a potential customer and their AE/SDR regarding discounts. Value: An easy way to support a trustful relationship between a potential customer and their AE/SDR.  Examples: Unlike one-time discounts, the unit-discounts are being shown with a percentage-value on the quote. It would be great if you could choose which line item properties were editible after creation.   We have a reporting system outside of HubSpot which relies on our line item names matching up with those in the reports. We have switched off the ability for users to create custom line items but, at the moment, they can still select an existing line item and then edit anything they want.    If we could restrict access so they could only edit certain properties in a line item (e.g. price, billing frequency) but were unable to edit others (e.g. name, custom properties) it would help to reduce errors and additional manual work in our reporting. ...read more

Currently there is no way for admins to check if a quote gets deleted. This brings a set of problems as these features are non existant:   1. No security setting to prevent users from deleting quotes 2. No way of viewing a list of deleted quotes 3. No way of restoring deleted quotes   Therefore, there is no way of knowing if a quote is deleted (apart from asking a client for the emailed quote), as the activity feed for the quote gets deleted as well when the quote gets deleted. This makes it hard for admins to troubleshoot if there was an accidental deletion or malicious intent from a staff member. Most other fields and activities can be tracked via a history, or the recycle bin, but it seems the quotes feature is sorely missing any of this.   If at least the activity feed does not get deleted when a quote does, it would be of great help. It would be even better if a quote gets deleted, an activity would be created saying that the quote has been deleted. Additionally a recycle bin for deleted quotes would be great too ...read more

Hello, We decided to add SKUs to certain products, however, once I added them, it doesn't add the SKU on existing deals. I tried to update the SKUs through workflows but this is not possible. Export and re-import either. The only thing we do is to delete and add all products manually to 2000 contacts... Would it be possible to either have the SKUs automatically updated even retroactivaly or be able to update it through a WF? ...read more
