We have 8 Sales Pro users, and 4 finanancial users (on CRM Free accounts) who only need to receive, download or view signed quotes. They can't unless they get a Pro license.   Now sales reps need to copy the signed quote to the attachements folder in order for finance to be able to view them. If CRM (Free) users would be able to just view (signed) quotes, or have a copy sent to their inbox. This would save alot of hassle, and imho a bit weird that this is not available.     ...read more

Having the ability to add product attributes that would pull up different pricing would allow us to keep our product library so much cleaner.    Right now, you need to create multiple versions of the same product to account for the different attributes.    Functionality available is quite basic and limits our ability to effectively use quotes. I've been setting up products in the library for our Sales team. All our product prices are in EUR but then we have Sales guys in the UK using a different currency, GBP.   At the moment, I need to manually change/set up prices in GBP for each product. It would be super useful to have a tool to set up the prices in EUR for the company that would automatically convert to GBP for the local Sales. ...read more

Hey Everybody,    I was just talking with Cabrini from HubSpot support about a workflow Idea I was trying to create which didn't seem possible.    I was trying to do the following...   1) If a deal is Closed won and the date is known 2) it then follows a pre-defined workflow that will           a) look at the product on the deal          b) look at the term of that product 3) Then it will populate a custom field 'Contract End Date' 4) Perhaps then create a task for the Deal owner to re-contract 60 days before contract end date 5) another task in parallel with a checklist of things to do now the deal is complete such as send invoice, send onboarding information and schedule onboarding call.   This whole work flow would be ace if the product list was global and able to be viewed at all levels such as contact, company and deal!    Please upvote this idea as it seems to have value for all!    Thanks   Frazer   ...read more

Hi, I'm a Director of Business Development with a multi-media company and have used HubSpot across a couple different business industries now. As a paying customer, it would be incredibly useful in Sales to have a product list in HubSpot that associates with Deals. In the current set up, I cannot track where specifically our revenues are coming from. How often is a "Deal" just ONE product, service, or offering? Almost never.    Example 1: When I was in IT sales, a single deal/sale would have at least a dozen line items. Salesforce unfortunately took the cake with this becasue we could create custom fields.    Example 2: Now in media, a single Deal easily contains a few advertisements, events passes, and special program materials. There is no way to track which products we are selling in a B2B or even B2C sale. Plus only knowing the grand total is vaguely useful.   Lastly, take a look at PandaDoc, they have a great "click and drag" feature for multiple stored line items when creating proposals and contracts.   Would love to see something like this happen ASAP. I know it's been mentioned before, but that is the only thing holding us back from making a full transition to HubSpot and the biggest pain point for our company.    Thanks! As many CRM tools are already providing nice Quote builder, we would like to use HS to generate customer quote which will include several pages (including cover page including company name, quote number, date, expiration date, name of the rep...etc) and the quote will include the BOM (list of products/pricing/terms/signature) as the last page. Most of the competitors allow setting up a microsoft word template with tags representing CRM variable/fields and do a pre-processing function when generating the quote... so the result is a nice 4-5 pages commercial proposal. ...read more

HubSpot is creating its own barrier to entry for eCommerce businesses wanting to invest in HubSpot by mandating the requirement to buy 5 Sales Pro licenses. Purchasing just 1 license needs to be an option for agency partners.   Currently, Sales Pro is required to unlocked several critical funcationality pieces needed to built out end-to-end eCommerce systems within the platform: - Deal automation for post-purchase marketing activity (the main pain point) - Revenue goal setting and tracking on dashboards - Full functionality of the HubSpot/Shopify native integration (it unlocks 3 workflows, 1 contact based, 2 deal based)   For businesses with a wholesale/inside sales department too this is less of an issue as you can make the case for the 5 Sales Pro licenses. However, for eCommerce businesses that go direct to consumer only, 4 of those licenses are completely wasted. The full functionality that Sales Pro unlocks are largely irrelevant for these kinds of businesses. At $500 extra a month for the 5 licenses, it's hard to justify bolting on Sales Pro during a Marketing Pro or Enterprise sale. I can bolt on other technologies that do as good or a better job than HubSpot's Sales Pro funcationilty unlocks at a cheaper cost.   HubSpot is getting in their own way of selling to a new customer base.     ...read more

This is for the sales quotation tool and for when adding a product to the line. The aim is to be able to add a product to a line with a cost price and be able to add a percentage margin to give the customer the price to pay.   This will enable the possibility to work from margins rather than price points for large ranges of products and manufacturers, so, for example, some products from the manufacturer we know we can price at 10% margin and others we can price at a 20% margin. So being able to get the customers price by margin makes it more straight forward to the salespeople who are used to this way of working.   Quotewerks is what we currently use. ...read more
