Hello everyone! This idea serves to help all serviced-based companies currently using HubSpot.  Lets be honest, the quote system HubSpot has to offer is awesome. Clean and professional format, product/service details, and even a Stripe integration helps avoid separate payment platforms. My only qualm?  We currently utilize a deposit system for our clients to secure services. Each service requires a $200 deposit that goes towards their total balance. For many bigger ticket item service companies, it can be difficult for clients to pay the full balance upfront.  I'm proposing the idea for quotes to include all of the prices, fees, discounts, etc., but at the same time, allow for clients to pay for a given amount. If we're using our company as an example, their total is $3,000 and they have two services ($400 deposit), they are given the option to pay the deposits and not the full-price.  I believe that would be extremely helpful for the many service-based companies that use HubSpot! It’s a nightmare that quotes are no longer accessible for the customer nor possible to just reactivate them as a seller. It would be OK to have customers access it but as „expired“. For sales, recreating a quote just because a customer orders a few days late due to a slower procurement process (vacation, sick leave etc.) is time burning. I am looking to add pictures to the products that you can put on quotes. I like the idea of being able to close deals right from HubSpot, without having to go into my inventory management system, pull products, create a quote there, save as a PDF, and upload into HubSpot.   Our products are very visual, so pictures would be so, so valuable, and really make quotes stand out. I understand there are a few ideas being floated on this particular topic but I wanted to "flesh out" the functionality of potential contracts and agreements within HubSpot.   Firstly, in terms of contract management, we have historically used PandaDoc. The reason for this is the fact that it's one of the very few contract and signing solutions out there that allow for us to create the templates for our agreements (of which there is more than one) within the platform and not just uploading a PDF, that we can apply text blocks for a level of customisation and the use of personalisation tokens so that each agreement can be personalised without having to resort to form fields.   I like the functionality of the HubSpot Quotes as it stands but custom T&C's or contracts is the only issue preventing us from using it in our day-to-day process.   For many of us that utilise long-form contracts and for the industry we're in this is a necessary evil but if we can create contracts/agreements within HubSpot that during the quote process we can select which agreement to be included.   For example, we have a Master Agreement which needs to have the parties listed in it. Once that Master Agreement is signed we can always follow up with more agreements for addendums, new territories or other special agreements as needed.   Potentially within the quotes template we can also add in other items that during our sales process can be collected and stored in custom fields and can form part of the quote such as payment method, payment terms etc.   If we had the ability to create contracts within HubSpot that were dynamic using personalisation tokens the one thing HubSpot could do better than PandaDoc is ensuring that numbering is something that can be formatted correctly. With long-form contracts you have many clauses and if for whatever reason you needed to remove one all the proceeding numbers also update with that clause removal. Currently, if you have to remove a clause from PandaDoc template, you would then need to manually re-number all of the proceeding clauses.   If I was to list out a potential workflow (at least as it pertains to us) it would look something like this.   During the sales process, the salesperson has collected all of the necessary information in existing or custom fields. We are now proceeding to the contract/agreement stage The salesperson creates a quote and ensures the correct product information is included. They will then select the contract/agreement from a drop-down of our existing templates. They can then preview this and ensure everything is correct, if not they can go into the deal fields and update/change as needed. A signing order can be set for the contract and also the existing ability for approval can be turned on (potentially we set that all quotes must be approved first). Everything is approved to proceed or the approver gives approval and the contract and quote is whisked off. A copy of the contract can be downloaded as a PDF as it is now attached to the quote should the contracting company need legal approval or review. Alternatively, they can choose to sign the contract now using HubSpot's eSignature functionality. The signed contract as a PDF etc is stored within the deal and notifications are sent around to all signatories with a copy of the agreement and the quote. Currently, any user who has a Sales Pro seat is able to edit Products regardless of what permissions they have. I'd like to have more granular permissions for this, as I don't want my users mistakenly editing products.  ...read more

How come we can't add "cost per unit" as a percentage of price, like we can for discounts? This seems like something that is pretty basic and we've been disappointed that this hasn't been added yet. For companies that sell based on a margin, like insurance agents, real estate agents, and investment managers, we can't automatically calculate the the cost per unit and margin. Somewhat related, why can't we add in a commission which further reduces the profit margin? It seems this teamed with the cost per unit as a percentage would create a very robust system. ...read more

Would be excellent to have  Default Terms that Company admin can add to all quotes as standard so company not reliant on salespeople to add. I love my salespeople but as we all know not incredibly reliable with important details. ...read more
