  Playbook Upgrades Needed! 1. Call Logging Option: Playbooks should allow us to log as a note, not just as a call. 2. Stage Requirements: We should be able to require playbooks at specific stages, like deal stages, ticket statuses, or lifecycle stages. 3 Copying Playbook Answers**: Playbook answers should be able to copy directly to a property without needing to finish the playbook. Right now, our team has to fill out the left column, then go to the playbook to see the pre-filled info. DOUBLE THE WORK! It would be much easier if they could trigger the copy to the property directly from the playbook, without needing to hit "submit" to save it. 4. Template Pre-population**: It would be helpful if templates could pre-populate while filling out the playbook, so they can be sent out immediately. It would be really good to have conditional logic on Playbooks, where if on question one the rep selects option A it displays question 2, if they select option B it jumps to question 3 etc. We have a wide variety of enquiries coming into Customer Service and Playbooks could be really beneficial to them, but at the moment I would either have to create multiple playbooks or have questions in there that are irrelevant for certain enquiries. It would be extremely helpful if customer service reps could access playbooks right from Help Desk. Currently, they must open the ticket record and access playbooks that way.    Additionally, I know there is already some posts on this, but Help Desk and Playbooks should definitely be in the mobile app. ...read more

Hi,   On behalf of one of our customers, I would like to suggest an enhancement for our playbook questions feature. Currently, when a user edits a playable question (even adding a space will trigger), all previously entered data associated with that question is lost. This can be quite frustrating for users who want to make minor adjustments without losing important data they’ve already collected.   Suggested Improvement: We propose that HubSpot introduces the ability to edit playbook questions without losing the data of the previously entered information. This would allow users to make necessary changes or corrections to their questions while retaining all the valuable data that has been collected up to that point. ...read more

Playbooks are great for initial sales calls and face-to-face meetings, but the follow-up task/to-do feature is very limited and could be much better. Currently the task you create is automatically assigned to yourself and can't be changed from the playbook itself.   We need to create tasks from a playbook and assign them to other HubSpot users to make follow-ups or take certain actions.    To assign a task from a playbook to another user, at the moment, you either need to save the playbook and then manually create a task separately, or create the task from the playbook, which gets assigned to themselves, and then change the assignee of the task (but we tried that and it doesn't send a notification to the re-assigned user, which defeats the object of doing it that way).   Hopefully other users would appreciate this feature because we really need it and it seems like such a simple upgrade. ...read more

We are currently trying to enforce the use of playbooks for our sales reps, to ensure the correct logging of data and to automate follow-up task creation. Since we have a couple of different call types and activity types, they loose time while finding the correct playbook for each call or activity and opening it.  Ideally, the correct playbook would open by itself once a task is started. Of course this would have to go along with custom activity types, so that we can match each playbook to a specific task type.  ...read more

I love implementing Playbooks for my clients, but there are a few niggles which could be ironed out to make the experience even better!   Here's my list so far, gathered whilst creating a single Playbook yesterday:   The 'Enablement card' presents tthe recommended Playbook in an odd way and takes up too much space on the Middle tab (very large and displays the first two fields of the Playbook). If you choose to log the Playbook as a Note, any introductory text or personalisation tokens are not added to the Note. It only records the answers to questions in the Note. So a lot of information is missing in the Note. The Question/Answer list (in the Note for the Playbook) repeats the word Notes (and adds a bullet point) throughout - so this makes it more difficult to read. Any formatting in the Playbook, such as Headers, is not shown in the Note that is added. The follow up Task that's created for the Playbook just says 'Follow up regarding note on x Date'. It doesn't make it clear that the follow-up is related to the Playbook completion. When the Playbook is launched for a Deal, I would expect any tokens I've added (Company, Contact) to link the Playbook to those linked records. Currently my Playbook only associates with the Deal record, not with the Company and Contact associated to the Deal. I have multiple Contacts linked to my Deal. I woudl like to merge in data from a specific Contact on the Deal (with a specific Association Label). Currently it seems to merge in the name of the Contact who was last associated to the Deal which is not ideal.  I'm very happy to speak to the Playbooks Product team to help improve the Product. Use Case: Sales needs to book time with demo team.  Demo team has scheduler page. Sales uses a deals playbook to provide details AND book time in the context of a deal.  Right now they have to leave playbook via hyperlink, schedule in another tab, transposed booked time back into playbook.       I've attempted to paste in the URL and embed code version from meetings tool into the embed content module of playbooks.  No luck.  This was really meant for media but why not expand use.     I've considered the forms portion of the meeting tool but then we can't leverage the context of the deal record.  Sales books this for their prospect (deal based) where the meeting tool is Contact centric.   I have 2 clients who could benefit from this and assume many SAAS companies have a similar model of tyring to arrange time with co-workers to close deals/ tickets.     ...read more

We are selling saas products but they are closely connected with sort of project management. In the customer portal it would be nice to become able establishing progress bars with milesstones and checkboxes one-way and bi-directional as well as space to drop files. This would enable our customers to receive a live review on progress at any time. Maybe custom objects or playbooks are other areas to fit such a feature. Btw. I miss customer portal as a category in this community.   Currently we work with google docs and make them PDF when customers cannot access. Also we could add this to our tool ourselves, but we assume in such feature could lay potential for many other Hubspot users too. ...read more
