WhatsApp allows for links to be embedded into their buttons, not only to track the clicks in the reporting but to also "hide" the utm parameters so they don't create an ugly, long URL recipients may not want to click. Especically since only SMS has the link shortener capability that happens automatically. As we're using WhatsApp for transactional messaging, I was shocked this was a limitation with WhatsApp and with the HubSpot builder. With 13k link variations across multiple domains we serve, having the WhatsApp link be personalized by a HubSpot property is absolutely vital. In the short-term it would be great if HubSpot could shorten the link and have automatic utm tracking like they do for SMS, but the long-term, having this be a truly dynamic link based on a property value is paramount. WhatsApp, just like SMS, is limited to only Contact/Company properties. This must be evolved to support all records - especially custom objects.
