In a HubSpot portal without business units, when a contact unsubscribes from all email, this is documented in the property "Unsubscribed from all email" as the value "true".   In a portal with business units however there currently isn't any way to see whether a contact unsubscribed from all emails of a specific business unit.   Here's what's happening: Contact unsubscribes from all emails of the main business unit > "Unsubscribed from all email" changes to "True" Contact unsubscribes from all emails of any non-main business unit > "Unsubscribed from all email" stays empty   There isn't any property that can be checked to see whether a contact has unsubscribed from all emails of any given business unit.   When talking to HubSpot support, I got the information that the product team is not planning on implementing this:   I can confirm that the only way to do this is to filter for each subscription type under that business unit. The email subscription team recommends list filtering directly on subscription opt-in status, rather than using the properties "Unsubscribed from all email" and "opted out of email; X", as this is more reliable. These properties existed before the introduction of business units. They are aware that this is a confusing UX for business units portals and this is something I've seen lots of feedback on. However, my understanding is adding BU based opted out of all email properties is not something the team plans to introduce.   In other words, whenever there is the need to filter for contacts that unsubscribed from all emails of a business unit, I need to create as many filters as I have subscription types.   Additionally, this is not 100% accurate as someone might have unsubscribed from each individual subscription type - but not from all emails. While it's a subtle difference, that's not the same.   Please implement an "Unsubscribed from all email" property for each business unit. Considering the price point of business units, this shouldn't be something that requires a workaround.   (Similarly, the same point could be made for the "Marketing email confirmation status property".)   Thanks in advance for reviewing! ...read more

When we need to add a last-minute contact, the process can be quite stressful and complicated, as it requires creating and importing an entire Excel file for just one contact. I believe adding the ability to manually enter non-existing email addresses directly when sending a marketing email could be extremely useful. Can we get a feature that allows you to remove and change the unpublish date on web version URLs for emails? Preferably in bulk for all emails that were already sent?    We have several emails that were already sent with web version URLs set to expire in 6 months, but want to remove the expiration date on those URLs for future viewing if needed. ...read more

At the moment, assets such as marketing emails and social posts can only be attributed to a single campaign. The issue I am running into is I have multple campaigns running at the same time that sometimes share real estate space on the same email or social content. It would be easier if I could save these assets to multiple campaigns to be able to properly review campaign performances when they are completed. ...read more

This feels like a bug rather than an Idea. If you have GDPR settings turned on, whenever you create a new form it will automatically reactivate the default "Marketing Information" subscription type even if you've deactivated it and created new subscription types. The issue is that if we don't catch it, suddenly subscribers will see a new subscription type option that isn't part of any content workstream.     This was the response from support below. Please resolve this behavior!    Currently the reason why it keeps reactivating it's when a new form it's created, by default if you have the GDPR settings on, the internal forms service uses the default Marketing Information Subscription as the subscription type when creating forms therefor unarchiving this subscription type.   This situation may happen every time a form it's created, and internally it seems that our forms team may be considering the change of how that works in the future, but at the moment there is no workaround for this. ...read more

Just learned you can't find people who unsubscribed from your particular email.   Let's say you sent Marketing Email A. If you go into Marketing Email A's performance section, that Unsubscribed list you see under Marketing Email, includes EVERYONE who has ever unsubscribed-from-all, but received Marketing Email A before they unsubscribed.   So even if they unsubscribed-from-all from a totally different email - say email B, they would still be on the Unsubscribed list in Marketing Email A. Which makes it harder to see if your email was doing a good job or not!   In my case, contact X was appearing as in Unsubscribe lists of multiple emails.   This problem also shows up in Reports - the "Marketing Email Unsubscribed" metric and "Marketing Email Unsubscribe Metric" does not take into account for which email the person unsubscribed. In my case, a few of them were showing higher numbers of unsubscribed contacts, but it was all the same contacts appearing in different campaign reports even though the contact only unsubscribed-from-all once.   According to HubSpot support: We cannot generate a list of contacts who have unsubscribed from a specific email - only contacts that are not subscribed to specific subscruptions   Summary, we should be able to see or attribute an unsubscribe of a contact from the email they unsubscribed from. Hi there, when sending out a Feedback Survey mailing (via Service Hub feature) the subscription type "Customer Service Communication" is automatically assigned to the related Contacts. Unfortunately it is not possible to simply change the Subscription Type for such a survey mailing to any other Subscription Type (as it is possible for a Marketing email). Why just not simply add such a functionality to the Settings for a Feedback survey mailing as well - which would simplify related Contact's Subscription Management.
