Missing a feature after a change in filtering contact lists:   When adding the association contacts>company you will see a column without the company ID in the title - however when sorting the column it will still sort by the internal ID and not by the name of the company.   I really hope it will be possible (again!) to add associated companies property to a contact list as a text based field - so it can filter alphabetically = faster and better overview. ...read more

I'd like to suggest an upgrade to the lists feature. I feel this will be highly useful to any team building lists of any object type where multiple groups of criteria are involved.   Groups within lists are currently called "Group 1", "Group 2" etc. as a default. As a business, many of our lists contain multiple groups. It would therefore be very useful to have the ability to customise the names of each group.   This would be useful for readily identifying who/what the group is targeting in HubSpot. As the person building the list, you will be able to keep track of the groups in your list without external notes. And for someone that is checking a list they didn't make, they can clearly see what the group is aiming to target rather than needing to "translate" the criteria in the group. This should help with any teams where someone is involved in approvals of lists.   As a bonus suggestion to compliment this one, the ability to collapse and expand groups would be a useful UX enhancement - espcially for lists with more than 2 groups. It would be helpful to have a live list of individuals who have interacted with a specific ad within a rolling date range.   This list could be used to create workflows that send personalized emails to people who have recently clicked on that specific ad.   Currently, it’s only possible to generate a list of users who have interacted with any ad, which isn't ideal when you want to tailor emails or workflows based on the specific activity a person has engaged in. ...read more

For particular projects that are based on dynamic lists, we have a need to filter by particular owners. However, when the owner becomes deactivated - those records should be excluded from those lists. Unfortunately, for list filtering, there is no such option to exclude deactivated users, but it could be handy in various scenarios.   Who (what type of role or team) is the feature for? For administrators and operation teams   What is their goal? Build dynamic lists for various scenarios that help accomplish particular business need   What value will this add? Exclude irrelevant records from dynamic lists will bring value in the various scenarios: Excluding of deactivated users from list of prospects team will work on Excluding of deactivated users from regular enrichment processes Excluding of deactivated users from the specific owner based lists Etc   Are there examples of other places or products who have this feature? Advanced filters on any HubSpot records allow showing deactivated users among other record owner. The buyer intent has been fantastic, but some of my leadership team would love for an active/updated list. If I create a TAM with a certain industry, they want to just be able to see the list update proactively. Hello product team,   For HubSpot admins, one of the biggest challenges is keeping a portal organized, cleaned up and prevent overall chaos. Especially in Enterprise portals with sometimes hundreds of users, it's almost impossible to get users to follow a naming convention for email names, landing page names, workflow names. Quickly this becomes a cat and mouse game where HubSpot have to constantly chase and remind users to name their assets correctly.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for users?   Naming conventions are usually documented outside of HubSpot, in a wiki, stored as a Google Doc or something similar along the same lines. Forcing them to interrupt what they're currently doing, look up a naming convention and then come back means that they're losing time. They also have to leave HubSpot momentarily. Even then, they might misunderstand the naming convention and type in an incorrect name.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for admins?   Incorrect naming means that list or workflow filters for Recent conversion might not work. It can also mean that reports become a mess, if these reports are pulling in asset names.   If admins have to look into this on a permanent basis, in portals where there are new assets every day, this takes time away from developing the HubSpot portal and generating more value for all users.   Here's what a solution could look like   To solve this, it would be great if there were tools to enforce a naming convention. Ideally, admins would specify what constitutes a correctly named asset and similar to the forms editor, arrange fields to their liking.   Here's a quick mockup of what this could look like when creating a new page.     The user could select from dropdowns which team they belong to, the language of the assets, the asset type, include a title and date. The system would then generate a title from this that cannot be further edited.   Admins should be able to specify the options for each dropdown, separators, order and field validation (e.g. max length for a title).   (In case this is eventually introduced, please consider to make this a feature that is at least included in all Professional and Enterprise subscriptions.)   I would love to see this for all assets in HubSpot: emails, workflows, lists, campaigns, imports, properties, files etc.   Thanks in advance for reviewing! ...read more

We've been using Hubspot for 3 different teams/business units for 6 months. Each team has it's own lists with distict contacts/companies/deals. But all users can see all lists. This is a problem if a user for Team A creates a list called "Current Customers". Users from Team B can see the list and may accidently think it includes Team B customers. Then inappropriately use that list for sequneces or ad campaigns. I'd like list permissions to work more like social media accounts that can be restricted to specific users, teams, or business units. ...read more

With the recent wave of prodcut updates, I have noticed less attention being paid to the small but important details. One example is the inconsistency of available activity filters across various HubSpot objects, in particular list memberships.   For as far as I can remember we could filter for list membership updates at contact level: With the introduction of company, deal, and other object lists - these are being used build segments, act as workflow enrolment triggers, etc. So far so good, but what if I want to troubleshoot some issues concerning when or why an object was added or removed from these lists? Well, I am bit **bleep** because there I do not have the option to filter by list memberships in any other object activity feed.    Frankly, I don't get it. Building a list for an object becomes a feature, so should the ability to filter by "list membership" updates. This is often (if not always) my first go to point for troubleshooting to establish a timeline, quickly see what else happened before digging deeper into what changed and why, in order to work out why something has changed that we were not expecting.   I know the official HubSpot line is "not cobbled but crafted", in this case it does feel a lot more cobbled than crafted.
