Situation: 1- Recently (2 months ago) Hubspot issued the "CRM Sync" extension which is helping to navigate within Linkedin Sales Navigator and check insights from Huspot CRM, 2- All CRM sync users for Hubspot & Sales Nav have Sales Navigator Licences and so access to Sales Navigator Insights when navigating into the interface, 3- Hubspot is providing an algorithm with multi-criteria investigations to match records between Hubspot and Sales Navigator. This algorithm is leveraging (not exhaustively) for Contacts {First Name, Last Name, Email, etc.} and for Companies: {Company Name, Domain Name, Address, etc.} Problem Statement: 1- The algorithm is not using the native field "Linkedin Company Page" (Company) to reconcile Accounts and Companies while it's the strongest primary key ever. Some of the accounts I have in Hubspot are not recognized in Linkedin Sales while having the same Linkedin Company Page. 2- Linkedin Profile URL or Sales Navigator Profile URL or Sales Navigator Company URL are not native fields in Hubspot allowing to reconcile Sales Navigator import and Hubspot Record. Proposal: - When enabling CRM Sync, Hubspot creates (at least) 2 proprieties with a specific group "CRM Sync" in the Hubspot Instance: - 1 for Linkedin Sales Navigator Profile URL (Contact), - 1 for Linkedin Sales Navigator Company URL (company) - Those proprieties are visible and could be updated for any contact or company record by the instance users (accordingly to their rights to that propriety), - When Syncing the 2 records (automatically or via "Find a Match") between Linkedin Sales Nav <> Hubspot, Hubspot would update the Linkedin Sales Navigator Profile URL (if it's a Contact) or the Linkedin Sales Navigator Company URL (if it's a Company) - When Creating from Linkedin Sales Nav to Hubspot a new record, Hubspot would fill the Linkedin Sales Navigator Profile URL (if it's a Contact) or the Linkedin Sales Navigator Company URL (if it's a Company) with the associated values, Benefits: - As a Hubspot administrator, I have a strong primary key that I can modify to have full confidence on the matches, making sure Linkedin Sales Navigator & Hubspot are well in-sync, - If I already have a custom or native field in my instance with Linkedin URL informations, I can simply use a workflow automation to fill the 2 new proprieties created when setting up the CRM sync, - The creation of new records coming from Linkedin Sales Navigator will always be compliant with our data integrity requirements thanks to this primary key (URL) and will save quite a lot of overhead administration time to check and reconcile. - Bonus: those fields can help admin to better identify Duplicates within the Hubspot instance, if they're taken into account natively by the Duplicate algorithm as well.
