Great minds think alike

I'm thrilled about having access to the beta feature for creating associations and labeling them between records. However, it feels incomplete without the capability to associate records via workflows. I've been trying to implement my use case with workarounds since my company began using HubSpot.   Use Case: As a solar panel manufacturer, we sell to distributors who, in turn, sell to solar installers, who then sell to homeowners. We generate numerous homeowner leads that we want to send to our customer installer companies.   I aim to set up a workflow that associates the lead's contact record with the installer company record using the association label I created. Then, I'd like to send a new lead notification to the designated lead acquisition employee at the company, all based on the lead's location.   I want to be able to view the lead contact record and see which installer company we sent it to. Or, view an installer company and see all the leads we've sent to them. Alternatively, create a deal between the lead and the installer company for every lead we send to them.   Manually associating these records isn't feasible as we receive thousands of leads each quarter. I was wondering if the deal view tabs (see image below) could have the option to be customised to different colours in order to be grouped and found easier. When lots of deal views are open (and need to be), the name of the view can be cut off which makes it hard to find the one you're looking for easily.     ...read more

I think it would be a great option if you were able to turn off associations from deal to deal or pipeline to pipeline. Our company keeps on running into over associating deal activity with other deals that the activity has nothing to do with. This is mostly from employees not remembering to remove associations on that specific activity they are adding. I do think this an unnecassary sales step for them to have to worry about though.  ...read more

Hello, I think it would be very helpful to be able to clone a deal tag. Right now, the options are edit or remove. Considering you can clone so much in Hubspot, not sure why this wouldn't be an available option for deal tags.    Hoping it gets on the radar. Thanks. ...read more

There have been many forum posts about how limited the parent-children association feature is in HubSpot. To name a few: Activities rolled up from child to parent Listing of children companies info on a parent Consolidated reporting of a parent A couple of these threads were marked as solved via workarounds, but for the problem I'm about to describe, I can't find a workaround - let alone a native solution from HubSpot.   The Account Mapping feature of the OrgChart by @Dan1 is probably the closest one I have, but still wouldn't answer my problem (btw I'm a customer of OrgChartHub).   We'd like to report on lapsed accounts - which are accounts with whom we haven't had a business for more than a year. Here's the architecture of how our system is built: No records should be associated with a parent directly. They all should be associated with the children We only have 1 layer of parent-children relationship. We have no Parent (global) - Sub parent (regional) - Children (BU) relationship since HubSpot won't be able to report on total revenue on the global level based on the Children (BU) this way. The issue now is if I were to build a report, showing "Parent" account with the company property "Recent deal close date" older than 1 year, on paper the report will be able to identify this by looking at every child companies "recent deal close date" and see if ANY of them has recent deal close date older than 1 year.    It will not check if ALL of them combined has the recent deal close date older than 1 year.    I would like to somehow transfer the recent deal close date from the children to the parent to circumvent this, but we can't build a "logic" in the report or workflow level, that essentially tells HubSpot "only copy recent deal close date from the children to parent, if the existing recent deal close date in the parent is older than the one you're about to copy."   TLDR: Would be great if we can identify lapsed account based on parent companies having the recent deal close date on its various children older than X period of time. ...read more
