Task Queues are really important to my team. Their tasks are all made by a custom object workflow which also places the tasks into a queue. When viewing the tasks in the queue it is helpful for my team to also see any other associated records like the contact, company, or deal. Unfortunately, a problem arises from the task being associated with other objects. When completing a task in our queue and clicking next, it automatically shifts the team from the custom object record to the contact record. The movement from a custom object record to a contact record is very jarring for my team. It also requires me to train them on record types in hubspot that are not applicable to them. It is also inconvenient to be moved to another record type when the information you need is kept in the type of record you were previously viewing. The only way around this is to only associate the task with the custom object record but then we lose much of the convenience of being able to see at a glance the other associated records. There are multiple changes that could address this: If a task is made while specifically viewing an object record like the deal then the deal record or whichever record was being viewed when the task was made should be the highest priority record. Add functionality so that I can decide which record type is the most important to display when working in a queue. It makes no sense that the contact record should take priority over the custom object record. The custom object was made for my company and my team. We pay a lot of money to be able to even make them. It should not play second fiddle to other record types. Make it so if im in a deal record and I click next task in my queue it keeps me in whatever record type I was previously using. For example if I am looking at a deal when I complete a task and hit next, if the task has an associated deal, I should be taken to the deal record not the contacts.
