We switched from ZenDesk to HubSpot for our ticketing and we are missing ZenDesk's Email API (https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408839419034-Using-the-Mail-API-to-update-ticket-properties-from-your-inbox).   Basically, the ZenDesk Email API allowed us to include a few commands at the beginning of an outgoing email (ie. an email from us to a customer) that would specify a few of the ticket parameters.   For example, there doesn't seem to be any way to send an email to a customer using an external email client (eg. Gmail) and automatically create a HubSpot ticket associated with that customer.  I have tried CCing and BCCing one of my HubSpot Inbox Channel Forwarding Addresses but the tickets that are generated are associated with the FROM email address (ie. our email address) which is very annoying and time-consuming to constantly manually switch to our customer's email address. ...read more

I would really appreciate if it would also be possible for "View Only Seats" to connect their email with HubSpot. Logging and tracking emails is one fundamental thing which we need in our HubSpot portal and it was possible for all user until the migration to the new pricing model. When I am on a custom object page, and this object has an associated contact, I want to compose an email to that contact. Currently, when I click on the contact's email (from the right menu in the contact card), the email composer opens with default associations set to the contact and its main company—but not to the custom object itself. As a result, users have to manually search for and associate the custom object, which is often forgotten in practice. To improve productivity and ensure better relationship tracking, it would be highly beneficial if the "current custom object" were also included in the default associations in this context. However, there are improvements that would make it easier to draw conclusions and take action - most notably the ability to see health broken down separately for marketing emails, one-to-one emails sent through HubSpot and transactional emails. We need this option! Unless we send from Gmail, we cannot "unsend" from Hubspot. Using HubSpot to send emails is a better option for me and I need a way to "unsend" from the platform.  ...read more

Many people want to start using Hubspot with their entire company's email history associated with the correct Hubspot Contact/Company, and visible to all Hubspot Users.   For many companies, historical email history is the *single* most important record of the interaction you and your colleagues have had with your customers and prospects.   This is a vital and common feature to other CRM's, like Close, Pipedrive, Zoho, SalesforceIQ, FreshSales...the list goes on.   The current solution that Hubspot offers is NOT effective. We need the import of emails to be A) automatic, and B) historical (including before we started using Hubspot). Logging, bcc, shared inboxes, etc., do not cut the mustard.   There are third-party companies that offer this, such as Threads, & MigrateMyCRM, but we all want a native Hubspot solution. There has been a number of updates to help Hubspot users know when calendars or email inboxes have been disconnected. All are helpful improvements yet one critical piece seems to be missing. Request that would help solve the problem. Notify the Super Admins on an account when any user's calendar OR email is disconnected.   There are other Super Admin notifications (like when social accounts are disconnected). The user is notified when their email is disconnected (though if they miss that notice, it could be a while before anyone notices) AND there is no mention of the calendar on this notification making that 2nd action easy to overlook by a user.  Other recent tickets around this work This one is about a sales rep being notified, that is all fine and should happen BUT Super Admins should also be looped in to ensure the action is handled in a timely manner - it's a backup for support. This 'Delivered' idea has a number of improvements that are helpful but still fall short of being manageable in day-to-day. For an Admin to have to refer back to these daily to ensure all is operational is silly. Helpful to have the ability to see, but without a notification doesn't feel feasible to manage. ...read more
