We have several clients (and ourselves included) who have a general number that rings to their office. Right now, all inbound numbers in HubSpot have to be assigned to a specific user - and only that user which is problematic when you want someone available to answer a specific line.   It would be great to be able to add a general number - whether main line, support, sales, and have it route to the next available rep of that type or to a specific team.   Sales call comes in - round robin to Sales Team or to all Sales Pro Paid Users; same with Service calls routing to the service team. ...read more

I receive feedback from some clients, that my number is displayed as "Anonymous" when calling from Hubspot.    I connected my mobile number to Hubspot and Hubspot confirmed my number. The Number is correct, however as Hubspot is working with Twilio as Calling application, my number is categorized as spam number and this makes my outbound calls hard as no one will pick up, if they receive my call as anonymous call.   I wanted to know, if someone else is experiencing this and whom to contact from twilio to qualify my number as valid.    Moreover: a few days before it worked and my number got displayed.     ...read more

With the inbound calling functionality, an audio ringing alert is played through the default system speaker (I'm on a Mac).   My system speaker is set as my headset, which I only wear when I pick it up to make a call, so I'll never hear these notifications.   Please add the ability for a user to choose which audio device is used for ringing alerts, i.e. bypassing the system default. Hubspot has recently launched Hubspot phone numbers (currently in beta) that support inbound calls.    Currently the only way a user will know if an inbound call is being received is: An audio ringing sound through the system audio device A visual notification within the Hubspot application The problem - if you aren't in/looking at Hubspot when the call comes in, the only way you'll know it is happening is through the speaker. I for one use a headset so the audio device is set to that and I don't hear audio alerts like this, so I have no way of knowing the call is coming in.   Idea: add desktop browser notifications for inbound calls. With the recent addition of customer leaving voicemails to HubSpot phone numbers, having a feature to allow users to create their own voicemail would be great.   Right now, when we use HubSpot Numbers we don't have the option to create our own voicemail. When customers call in, they will hear the generic voicemail which might dissuade them from calling or leaving a message.   If we could have our own personalized voicemail for HubSpot numbers that would fix that 🙂 ...read more

Using a system like AirCall works wonders for a salesteam and mine included.    We can call from the Desktop through HubSpot with the AirCall number. Being in sales and doing good requires that you are more free than just being attached to your desktop. What happens when a customer or potential calls back and you are at the coffee machine or out for a quick walk - You have to bring your laptop?   The solution here that is in a big need is that HubSpot calls through AirCall or alike calling systems work through the phone so that you can move around and everything is neatly at your hand.   When is this feature integrated?   Regards, Christoffer  ...read more

We're using HubSpot calling for outbound calls, which works very well. Although we're looking for a solution to forward calls to other HubSpot users.    For example, our SDR is talking to a hot prospect which we want to forward immediately to our Closer, without having to call the prospect back.   In that way, a hot prospect will remain hot. ...read more

Apparently the User: Phone Number email personalization token (defined in a team preset) is pulling from the phone number the user manually entered in their initial user profile, even when this user has been assigned a custom HubSpot phone number -- and this custom phone number is showing up in the user's Calling preferences.    Please change this personalization token to pull from the user's HubSpot phone number if assigned.     I don't want to have to rely on users manually editing their profile after a number is assigned to them.  If the number can be assigned centrally by the admin, the number should also be applied centrally. ...read more

The new auto-formatting and validation feature for phone numbers is a step in the right direction.   However, the current integration seems to be missing the mark with regard to user experience. I was unable to find any articles or posts in the Help Center announcing the new auto-formatting feature. The only Knowlege Base article that pops up when searching "phone number validation" is a detailed breakdown of editing default contact properties, and then there is only a reference to the validation and formatting being applied "automatically by Hubspot based on the country code."   This feature is certainly a step in the right direction, but several improvements are needed to improve the user experience and make the feature more functional overall (noting that recent comments on an "old" idea thread are already being discussed here; skip to page 7).   Suggested improvements include:   Global Setting to Enable/Disable auto-formatting at the account level - currently, the feature is enabled by default with no disable setting available Global Setting to assign a default Country Code - currently, the Country Code must be selected manually for every new contact (see screenshot below) Bulk edit phone numbers to apply Country Code format & validation -- currently, only able to apply formatting & validation when editing one individual contact at a time OR when adding to new contacts manually added (not via web forms -- this is needed, too) Retain "number only" format for export and/or sync to other apps or integrations to remove non-number characters (parentheses, plus sign, spaces) Default behavior of phone number formatting & validation when creating a new contact:     There are likely other enhancements that other users, especially those not based in the US, would appreciate. ...read more
