As per best practices (https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/guide-to-updating-republishing-blogging-content-ht), we periodically revamp/update old blogs and republish with a new publish date. We use the Hubspot feature that automatically generates a new monthly blog digest to our subscribers for all blogs posted in the previous month; however, any republished blogs don't appear (so I feel it's a missed opportunity to re-communicate).  As per the link above, it's recommended to manually email subscribers with new update; however, I would prefer if there was a field or option we can 'check' when we change the publish date to indicate that we want the revised blog to appear in the digest (vs having to do it manually). In early 2019, it was possible to export a list of Blog posts from Marketing > Website > Blog.  There was a link titled 'Export' in the top filtering links.    This feature was removed sometime in 2019 whan an interface change was made.  I've confirmed with Hubspot support that this feature no longer exists.   Who this is for:  Marketing teams that need to export Blog posts with a Title, URL, etc for importing into other platforms or for checking the most views and other data on Blog posts.   This feature is used to import into a 3rd party search platform to include Blog posts in search results on an Ecommerce platform.     Blog post attributes that were in this CSV export were: Publish Date Blog Post Name/Title Author Page Views CTA Clicks CTA Click Rate State (Published/Draft) Campaign Creation Date Last Update   Please restore this Blog posts export feature!   ...read more

Hi there,   Posting this on behalf of a customer:  The idea is to add a feature to a blog post, to automatically create a pdf document out of it and download it right away on the very blog post page. It is a huge deal that HubSpot does not natively support Code formatting (yes, pre is an option, but not scalable) when copying and pasting or importing (Google Docs in beta). What's happening is author's source contains code in some monospaced font like Courier, and when that's either copied-and-pasted into HubSpot, or imported from a Google Doc (which does preserve the source fonts), those instances of monospaced font are blown away. This effectively means someone has to manually pick and highlight every. single. instance. of that code including in-line code/command and change the font. I cannot adequately describe how irritating this is or how much time this wastes.   Please, please fix this CMS so it recognizes and imports the correct font if nothing else. ...read more

Can we please look as separating out the blog post title from the meta title.   Having one title to peform two functions limits content createeor and can impact SEO. It makes sense to be ablee to optimse the page title and meta title independantly.   Also can we please have an exceprt field. Blog templates do not allow us to add the Additional Code Snippets to each blog individually, only at the template level which defeats the purpose of the meta tags (title, description, etc).   I need to add meta tags specific to each blog under the HEAD HTML section so they work with my rich pins in pinterest.    For some reason this feature is not inlcuded in the blog pages as they do in regular web pages (cms).    Both are web pages and should be able to have the ability to add additional code snippets, in my opinion. Hi all,   in this moment we are trying to make some changes to our blog post template so we have created a new template to test.  The problem is that the only way to test our new blog post template is to apply it to all the articles published on our blog.    I think that it will be very useful to have the possibility to change the template on a single blog post as it is for Landing Pages.    Thanks for your help ...read more

Managing XML sitemaps in HubSpot can be really time-consuming for large websites.   Given that XML sitemaps are so important in ensuring a page is crawled and indexed quickly, here are a couple of suggested ways to help us manage these more efficiently.    Suggestion 1 We often find clients don't add a landing page to the XML sitemap after launch, because they don't realise it's not automatic like with blogs and website pages. So their content doesn't get indexed on Google quickly. However, making this automatic is also not ideal as thank you pages shouldn't be on the sitemap, because we don't want people being able to Google our downloadable content and bypass the forms.    So a selection box when creating new content in the landing pages tool, that specifies clearly if it is a LP or a thank you page would be a good workaround. Typically, LP's get added to the XML sitemap automatically, TYPs don't.   Suggestion 2 The ability to remove pages from the XML sitemap in bulk based on them living in a specific subfolder or on a subdomain. That way if there is a section of the site not intended for search engines, we don't have to manually go and remove each page from the sitemap after it is published.  ...read more
