We need the ability as HubSpot administrators to change the Original Source field in Contacts to fix errors and "weird stuff" that can happen for more accurate lead and ROI tracking. I have several contacts set to Offline Sources that where really AdWords. It usually works but when it doesn't we are powerless to fix it. Without getting it fixed the ROI reports lose some of their (**bleep**).   The existing reports that are tied to Original Source are grea, but for smaller companies, where correcting a couple incorrect Original Sources for a 30 day period, are very important. If I had 100's of new contacts off of AdWords every month I wouldn't worry abt missing a few.   Using a custom field is not really a solution since you then give up using all the stock reports that leverage Original Source. ...read more

Expand what could be tracked as events in the ads tool. Make at least the Form Submission (with the option to select specific forms) available. Ideally, all other conversion events should be added (meeting requests, chat, offline...). Eventually, every activity or contact property change should be possible to track individually.   The advance feature could be a rule set up (AND, OR) for combining events.   On the same note, increase the possible trackable events to accommodate the increase in options. ...read more

Hi together, in the past weeks we had the same problem several times when it came to custom reports about ads (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Ads) in HubSpot. Especially for the customer success and reporting team it is important to be able to show custom reports about ads in a dedicated Dashboard. At the moment HubSpot only offers pre-set reports around ads that can not be edited. Additionally there is the "analyse" area in the "Marketing" -> "Ads" section where reports can be saved to Dashboards, but even these reports can not be edited. In a nutshell there is no possibility to create a report for a dedicated ad campaign (e.g. for a particular whitepaper ad) where we put together the following information in a table: CTR (Click through rate) CAC (Customer Aquisition Cost) Ad spent / cost for ad campaign Ad impressions Ad clicks CPC (Cost per click) Cost per MQL Cost per SQL I've added 2 screenshots of information that can not be added in reports at the moment and the missing "edit" button at ad-reports.   If you are in the same situation that you want to build Dashboards around your social ads but miss the functions in HubSpot then feel free to give this post a thumb-up.   Best, Stefan ...read more
