Summary Hubspot is wasting a lot of my time trying to mentally group together related email content coming from multiple comments from multiple other people at my company on multiple topics. Hubspot lacks proper email headers that tell Gmail (and presumably other email clients) how to group related messages together in the inbox.   Please fix this issue! It is driving me nuts.   Problem 1 Person1 adds a note to a Company XYZ or Deal XYZ and @ references me Person2 adds a comment on the note Person3 adds a comment to the same note ... and so on I go to my Gmail inbox !ERROR - splattered around my inbox, I see multiple messages from "Hubspot" with subjects like Person 1 mentioned you on the company XYZ ... other email messages Person 2 commented on an activity ... other email messages Person 3 commented on an activity EVEN WORSE, if the same sets of people are commenting on multiple other notes around the same time, the scenario continues and Gmail groups the emails BY AUTHOR by default and not BY TOPIC. This is the OPPOSITE of what any sane person would want.   Problem 2 Person1 adds a note to a Company ABC or Deal ABC and @ references me Person2 adds a comment on the note Person3 adds a comment to the same note ... and so on I go to my Gmail inbox !ERROR - now I see threads from Person 2 and Person 3 that are grouping entirely unrelated comments under the AUTHOR Hubspot (2)  Person 1 mentioned you in a comment comment about XYZ comment about ABC ... other email messages Hubspot (2)  Person 2 mentioned you in a comment comment about XYZ comment about ABC   Expected Results Hubspot should send email headers that group related messages by THREAD or by TOPIC, so that related email messages are grouped together by relevant topic. It is very hard to decipher multiple, active conversations from my Gmail inbox and I waste a lot of time going back and forth to piece it all together. I could argue for putting the topid identifier at a few different levels Note or Log entry My personal preference This would group together a "single level thread" of a Note in Hubspot, plus all subsequent comments on that Note in a distinct grouping in Gmail. Top level object: Company, Deal, Contact, etc. This would be better and help a lot, but is not as granular as I'd prefer.   Contrast current Hubspot behavior vs. Teamwork, or Github, or just about any other sytems that are sending multiple "threaded" comments via email. They all send email headers that tell Gmail to group related messages by TOPIC not by sender. For example, if multiple people comment on a particular Teamwork task, then all of the related messages are grouped together nicely in my Gmail inbox.   Looking at the source of the messages from Teamwork and Github, it appears to be the "In-Reply-To" and/or "References" headers in the email. My company does a lot of 1:1 emails  with customers. These are direct emails from Outlook and not through marketing or email sequencing in Hubspot. I attempted to build a report where I could pull the email activity of a team member and see if the recipient opened the emails, how many times they opened it, and if they clicked on any links. This will help us with tracking our engagement with customers and monitor our progress internally.   In talking with the Hubspot Help Desk folks, I understand that this is not possible with the new Custom Report Builder to pull this information out of Hubspot. I know i have pulled emails, meetings, calls, info in the past, but it is concerning that i cannot pull the open rates and click info.   Is this information that I can have access to? We often refer to the open and clicks info on specific individuals and sent emails, but this type of report would be incredibly valuable to our company. ...read more

I think it would be benefical if there was a subject line for Notes within HubSpot. Similar to when you create a Meeting.   This would help our Sales Team out a lot by not having to open the details for each Note, but rather looking at the subject line to see if it is relevant to the account. ...read more

Many of our contact records get VERY long, and it takes so much time to scroll to the bottom or back up to the top of the record when looking for information, as there is no activity feed search (another idea).  Please consider adding scroll-pagination or at least a go-to-top / go-to-bottom button so when Iwe need to review a record from the beginning, it is easier.  ...read more

a) General: We are having a lot of communication and tasks with our partners and enterprise customers that is logged in Hubspot so that a longer history (can be months or years) is created. With the current - not really space saving - way of displaying the content, only a few interactions can be seen without scrolling. E.g. look up an email from 2019 takes ages and a lot of scrolling.   Please change / offer as an option: - 1 line per interaction (email, task, call etc.) only with information about date, time, subject and involved contact   Benefit:  With that an email can be looked up much faster whithout a long scrolling journey, reloads etc. which slows down everything.   b) Upcoming Tasks Having tons of future tasks with a partner or an enterprise customers, occupies the entire screen easily if one is working in the activities view.   Solution: It will be great to e.g. set "show only upcoming tasks of the next week, month, 3 months"   Benefit: Better navigation, less clutter, less scrolling ...read more

Need a better way to organize emails in the activity feed.   The ability to "tag" emails so if you need to look back at previous emails it's faster than just going through the search functionality. You can simply look for all emails tagged as "billing" if a client requests an invoice you sent 6 months ago, for example. ...read more
