I have been working with hundreds of clients in HubSpot for over 10+ years and user experience has been the top reason HubSpot is amazing. Though one thing continues to make this challenging and that is the main Sidebar menu HubSpot makes every user have without any ability to customize.   So simply put we want the ability to customize what shows on the sidebar based on things like Teams and Permission Sets. I'm working on a project that started with Production and a Legacy Sandbox. A lot...and I meant almost a full year...of changes went into that Sandbox. We used a 3rd party tool to attempt to move all the customization and configuration to Production. It wasn't great, but we worked through all the issues and misses.   Once Production was validated we created a new Standard Sandbox. Which was very disappointing because a large amount of the customization that has now been built twice (once in Legacy Sandbox and again in Production) did not show up at all in the new Sandbox.   I welcome all HubSpot users to use this thread to ask for a 100% replica of Production when building Standard Sandboxes going forward. Please use this thread to note anything that gets missed when you build your Sandbox and ask HubSpot to account for it.   The new Standard Sandboxes do not bring custom layouts down to the new Sandbox. This is a HUUUGGEEE miss for the project I'm currently on. We have massively configured Team layouts for Deals and so many Custom Objects.    While I'm pointing out things that are missing:   Teams Also the rules for which Teams can update certain properties were removed because there are no Teams? Now I have to go through approval properties with a fine tooth comb or risk overwriting them in Production when I deploy back? This has yet to be determined. Permission Sets Notification Presets In this particular custom solution and configuration, we relied on these items and their capabilities to provide a solution to the client. Our global HubSpot account is used by teams operating in multiple countries and languages. To ensure strong user adoption, it is essential that we are able to translate custom properties—including custom pipelines and pipeline stage properties—into a broad range of languages. This need is particularly important for our Sales Representatives and might even become a roll-out roadblock.   Currently, HubSpot supports only a limited set of languages for custom translations: Chinese, Dutch, English, French, Finnish, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. When we work with multiple users on HubSpot and they need to read object records or fill out object creation form, they must document some properties and sometimes, they don't know what's the property details and information. They must ask to an admin or go in the property settings to read the property description. We should have an Info-Icon with a property description or tooltip available when we hover with our mouse.   Something we can set in HubSpot forms. In call settings (call setup), I want to edit the call outcomes.   While it's great I can add custom options, it is very limiting that the default call outcomes can't be deleted or even changed in order.   Would greatly help us in productivity if this would be possible. ...read more

Currently, when using the Global Search Function, we cannot amend the default Global Search Results Settings to display properties in the Global Search Results View columns that are relevant to the specific business, and customise views to different teams/ team members in the business.    i.e. Global Search Results for Contacts only show default columns for Name, Email, Phone number, Primary company, and job title.  Global Search Results for Companies only show default columns for Company Name, Domain, City, Region, Phone and Company Owner.  Similarly, we are locked to default properties with Deals, and all other objects.    Goal  We are able to tailor the Global Search Results settings to meet the needs of different teams/users, much like the way we already can edit the object-specific search result views with the Contact/Company/Deal search tabs. This will enable us to:  - Choose properties to display in the Global Search Results view  - Choose order of columns that display  - Change length of column.   Different teams have different needs:    Use cases Different properties/columns to display for different teams  - Service teams may find it more useful to see a customer code property/column in the Global Search Results View; while they can use the Global Search to find the correct company, they can't see on the screen they are clicking on the correct company, because we cannot bring in the <CUSTOMER CODE> company property to the results view.  - If searching companies, would be great for sales teams to see the primary contact in a column, and click directly onto this, rather than needing to click on the company record, to then search for the primary contact  - If searching tasks, would be great to see the internal task owner in a column, so you can easily see accountability.    Ability to edit length of columns  There may be several entities e.g. deals, companies, with nearly identical names, but a small variation right at the end of the deal/company name. So we can correctly read the name, we need to be able to edit the length of 1 particular column in the display screen. This means we don't have to click into the record/hover over each record, to read it. e.g. COMPANY NAME is likely to be longer than other properties, so we want the ability to make this column longer than others.    ...read more

Currently there is no option to automatically have emails that are logged on a contact record automatically log onto the associated lead objects. Currently if an email is sent from a Contact record or inbox, the email will not be logged to the lead object. While the only way to get the email automatically associated, is to send from the sales workspace or lead view. This creates a problem for users who wish to use the 'Email count' property on the lead object to accurately show the number of emails sent to a lead. Especially since some users may be using the sales workspace, but some are not, or are sending from the contact record. Ideally, we would have the options in the Activities settings associations tab to add association rules to log to 'open leads' for emails logged on a Contact. When looking at all leads it allows you to add coloums to see who the lead owner is and the date they were assigned. The issue is you cannot save that view so every day when you log in you have to create that view. Would be nice if it would allow you to save that or make it a global setting so everyone would not have to update it everyday.   In the picture below I added the date the lead was added and the owner. We have 3 email addresses connected to our Help Desk - one is default and the others are used for specific cases. However, HubSpot is showing them alphabetically when responding to a customer (i.e. every time we need to click and choose our default before ending the email). Can there be a way to choose what is the default sending address, and switch to others manually only when needed?  ...read more
