The new auto-formatting and validation feature for phone numbers is a step in the right direction.   However, the current integration seems to be missing the mark with regard to user experience. I was unable to find any articles or posts in the Help Center announcing the new auto-formatting feature. The only Knowlege Base article that pops up when searching "phone number validation" is a detailed breakdown of editing default contact properties, and then there is only a reference to the validation and formatting being applied "automatically by Hubspot based on the country code."   This feature is certainly a step in the right direction, but several improvements are needed to improve the user experience and make the feature more functional overall (noting that recent comments on an "old" idea thread are already being discussed here; skip to page 7).   Suggested improvements include:   Global Setting to Enable/Disable auto-formatting at the account level - currently, the feature is enabled by default with no disable setting available Global Setting to assign a default Country Code - currently, the Country Code must be selected manually for every new contact (see screenshot below) Bulk edit phone numbers to apply Country Code format & validation -- currently, only able to apply formatting & validation when editing one individual contact at a time OR when adding to new contacts manually added (not via web forms -- this is needed, too) Retain "number only" format for export and/or sync to other apps or integrations to remove non-number characters (parentheses, plus sign, spaces) Default behavior of phone number formatting & validation when creating a new contact:     There are likely other enhancements that other users, especially those not based in the US, would appreciate. ...read more

The new left menue auto-hiding and auto-appering slows down selecting sub-menu items. We could use an option to freeze the navigation to show icons only. There are 8 reasons for this being a good setting: 1) Our mouse would have to travel less distance when making sub-menu item selections 2) We wouldn't have to wait for a pop up menu before making a sub-menu item selection 3) For people using multiple monitors, we wouldn't be forced to expand the menu when crossing over from one monitor to the next (watch video below) 4) With the menu auto expanding/selecting menu items upon hover, we have to move the cursor directly to the right first before making a sub-menu item selection, because otherwise a different menu item would accidentally get selected (watch video below) 5) We wouldn't accidentally expand the menu when working with contact and deal properties in the left column 6) It would be less distracting 7) It would save space 😎It is how Pipedrive and other CRMs do it If Hubspot is worried about how people will react, just allow for this to be a preference in settings. Please make a setting that forces the navigivation to remain as "icons only". I was just showing off the new AI assistant features - and it is well received by all. The very first question I received from our users was "Will this AI assistant work in all our different languages?". Upon checking with both knowledgebase and HubSpot support, unfortunately the AI assistant is currently only available to be set as one language across the different functions - i.e set as English for all web pages.  I would like to propose that for large multi-national organisations this should be more granular and allow for multi-lingual teams like ours which have pages, forms, pop-ups, social accounts and emails in more than 20 languages.  The ideal is that either the AI assistant is set at user level, or, the AI assistant should automatically change to the setting for that function. I.e if the landing page is in French, the AI assistant switches to French. If the email is in Spanish - AI will be in Spanish etc. For now, the workaround I have offered is that we can set up a sandbox for each language and add the team so they can make use of the creation features - but of course this is not ideal to have to copy and paste.... ...read more

The new beta update for Business Units is great, because you can now select from Navigation which Business Unit you are working on when in your portal. We can now create custom call and meeting properties, but it would be ideal to be able to add them to the call/meeting cards when logging or scheduling them so when someone is logging the activity they can easily select the options created.    Use case scenario: We're trying to report on activities around particular products so I created a custom call property called Product Family Focus with options that can be selected (multi-checkbox). But, to have our reps actually use this, it would need to appear when they to go log or schedule out a call or meeting when they select the call/meeting type and all the other options. (Preferably somewhere in the white space shown in the orange boxes below). Our team has looked at the new refreshed navigation and we have not been fans of it. We prefer the navigation on top and do not think the new navigation is saving us much time. We would prefer have the option to stay on the old navigation.   Would be great if this option was available! ...read more
