When we let go sales reps or have turnover, it sure would be nice for the offboarding tasks of reassigning their leads/deals was automatic.    Meaning:    1. User is deactivated team = AE  - Enroll in deal workflow if deal owner is them that reassigns their OPEN deals  - Enroll in leads/contact workflow that reassigns  OPEN leads.    This would save a ton of time and allow for a more formal offboarding process in hubspot ... I have a property that needs to be updated from a Radio Select to a Single Line Text. It is used ONLY in a page view, which means it is shown on the sidebar of a record. It does not have any records that have a value. The ONLY thing preventing me from updating it is that it is being used in a sidebar.   Now, I have to open the record customization page, remove the property, return to property settings, update the property, return to the record customization page, find the property, re-add the property and THEN save.   I don't think that is efficient or makes sense. Obviously if the property held data of one type, it wouldn't be able to easily convert to another. Annoying as it is, I understand that. This property however, holds absolutely no data and there is no reason that it couldn't be updated from a radio select to a single line text on the page's sidebar without the need for a bunch of additional steps and changing pages. One step, or multiple steps that involve leaving the page. I choose one step, please.   It is a small gripe, but I have complaints like this almost daily regarding things that slow me down. Most HubSpot users may encounter this once and think to themselves "that's annoying," but move on and never do it again. In my case, I am sometimes doing the same action 100+ times for all of the locations we have that use HubSpot. That means that I'm not just doing 4 extra steps, but might be doing 400 extra steps overall. I'm sure you can understand the massive difference in work and time spent between taking 400 steps to do something or 100 steps to do something.   TLDR: If a property is used in an asset, but has no data, there is nothing that should prevent the ability to change the property's type.   Use case: I set up a property as the wrong type by mistake, and created a sidebar using the property. I now need to update the property type, but can't do so without first removing it from the side bar it is displayed in, creating the need to update the sidebar twice and adding unnecessary steps to the task process.  ... I've been a user of HubSpot since 2016 so have seen my fair share of UI updates. Most of these have been a net benefit for everyone, even the updates that haven't been received well ultimately led to a better overall user experience.    There's been a trend in HubSpot apps however to hide the entire menu in the editing experience. I know this has had huge UI/UX consideration and is a very intentional design to "help users focus" or whatever, but in reality it's incredibly distruptive. There also appears to be a number of links/menu items in HubSpot that specifically don't allow me to CMD/CTRL click to open in a new tab and force me to open in the same page, which forces me to either manually open a new tab and find the page I'm looking for, or complately abandon the work I've done on the existing tab to go update some other element to continue my work.    Some examples:  Workflows.  I'm in the middle of creating a workflow that filters on "client type" a custom property I created. I want to filter on "client type = partner" but right now I only have "new" and "existing" for the dropdown property "client type", I forgot to add in partner! Oh no! If I was looking at a contact record I would CMD/CTRL+ Click the cog and get working, having an easy reference to go back to within my original tab:     If I'm editing a workflow, the only options I have are to open a new tab, open my portal again, go into settings and then go edit the property, or exit the workflow I'm currently editing and go into find my property. Potentially losing updates I made that cannot be saved.    Lists.  I have a contact I am expecting to see on a list, I checked them against the criteria meeting tool in HubSpot lists and they didn't meet this criteria. I was sure they should have had a certain value? Ok, I'll just open the contact record in another tab quickly to check their contact record. I'll just quickly click into the contacts tool from my list and choose to open in a new tab!      I had a lot more examples typed out by once I posted the community just deleted everything that came after this.    Long story short, we used to be able to open new tabs when we wanted, and view the portal wide nav from every tool. Can we PLEASE just see our navigation everywhere and open whatever tabs we want, or, missing that, please give us modals within the tools to edit all settings that affect these tools.  ... We have observed that Associations have been appearing on Deals, Companies, and Contacts where they should not be. Upon investigation, we found that within the Settings, under the Activities Object, there is an Association tab that manages the associations for each Object and Activity. It was here that we identified some incorrect settings, which were the root cause of these unintended associations. I had to manually review and update each setting, which was quite time-consuming.   I would like to propose the idea that the default settings might be contributing to the issues we faced, which now require manual correction. It might be beneficial to consider setting all defaults to "None," allowing users to tailor their settings according to the specific needs of their organization. In our situation, if we hadn't made these corrections, it could have significantly impacted our reporting and Dashboards, where these associations are utilized. ... Mehr anzeigen

Today, I ran into some discrepancies involving Business Units that cost me time and mental energy that really shouldn't be necessary. 1. At the top right, next to the account/portal name, is an indicator of which business unit you're in -- UNLESS you're in the default "account" business unit. There IS an indicator for "All business units." This is backwards at best. And, either way, there needs to be an indicator that you're in a specific business unit for EVERY business unit. 2. On some of the settings panels, there is a "Current view:" field that sometimes allows you to select any business unit (like on Domains and URLs) and sometimes shows you only the current business unit (like on Blogs). This is an inconsistent and terrible user experience. I'm a developer and between these two items, I spent way too much time and an unnecessary support chat trying to figure out why I couldn't see all my blogs, when the problem was that there was no indicator that I was locked into the "account" business unit. ... Hi! I'd like to be able to choose an existing owner of a deal to set up a new forecast instead of the default "deal owner".  We have multiple owners for each deal: deal owner, csm owner, etc. What we want is to create a CSM team forecast goal based on the expected amount to renew each Q.   Thanks! ... Rather than adding multiple tick boxes, it would be good to be able to set a drop down field to allow for multiple options... For example, a drop down that lists the types of services a lead might be interested in, it would be good to be able to add multiples. This could also be done with tags like in wordpress. ...
