Developers are limited to using version 5.14.0 and can't update themes to version 6.   Who: developers creating themes and marketers using themes What/goal: ability to use the latest icon sets Value: adds backwards compatibility   If the theme was created with 5.0.10 it is not possible to update to 5.14.0 because 5.14.0 is not downward compatible with 5.0.10. Updating the icon_set would break the icons on existing website pages where 5.0.10 was used.   Fontawesome introduced downward compatibility with version 6, but since HubSpot doesn't allow version 6, it's not possible to update existing themes.   Editing to include that without this update, users can't select TikTok or the new Twitter X icons.   Editing to include the icon field now supports v6.4.2 which works for all new themes or custom themes (doesn't resolve backwards compatibility issue). ...read more

It would be great to have the functionality or a module that embeds PDFs on a landing page or web page.   The embedded PDF would have the functionality of a PDF or ebook with links and navigation. We have many PDFs that we offer as value to our customers, but linking directly to the PDF from an email removes the ability to have our website navigation or a CTA form alongside the PDF. If we have a CTA button on a webpage that links to the PDF, it just adds unnecessary clicks for our users and directs them away from a page that has the CTA form. Thanks! ...read more

HubSpot allows creating of multiple languages for the homepage, but in order for a user to see the homepage in their own language (based on their browser localle) they need to manually change to their own language via the "language switcher"    This does not provide a great user experience, my idea is that HubSpot load the relevant language homepage based on users locale.   We have implemented a client side JavaScript redirect work-around for this, but requires default page to load first, which is sub-optimal user experience. ...read more

There has been a lot of chatter regarding using reporting services like SEMRush and Moz which will give you site audits. Usually, these reports give back information such as errors and issues One of the major errors I've seen reported on a lot of HubSpot sites are the Duplication errors for things such as:   Duplicate content: This is usually caused by the /page/1 not being properly redirected from the start. You have to create three directs total to fix that. Another cause for duplicate content is that listing pages do not have the ability to have a self-referencing canonical (which is fixed with some quick HubL in the blog template header). Duplicate Titles: Caused by all the paginated pages showing the same title. Duplicate Meta Descriptions: Same cause as above The first bullet, as mentioned, can be fixed with using URL mapping tool and HubL, the last two, however, we have zero control over. I know we can use JS to change the titles and meta's for the listing and Google's searching should be ok with checking those differences on the page. This can be tedious to do and a much better way would be to allow us to have a "Page Title Builder" in the SEO & Crawlers Tab. This can let us fi page titles and have them render server side rather than relying on JS to fix things and hoping they will be picked up during the next Google crawl.      I have created a mockup below for this (based on Yoast's SEO WP Plugin) to better explain a possible solution:     Also, I think it would be awesome to have Description fields added to the blog topic's so we can create custom Meta Descriptions based on those topics and not have to rely on just the default blog meta description or one that Google pulls automatically (which is usually the post excerpt of the most recent post for that page).  ...read more

The styling provided on Hubspot when AMP is enabled is very limited right now, and only the header and the body font can be targeted. I think providing a way to add a style sheet for customizing AMP would be a great way to enable more advanced styling and cope with issues where the templates may display the logo or other elements in unintended ways (like on this example). ...read more
