I'd like to propose an improvement to the way personalization tokens handle empty fields, particularly for salutations in marketing emails and 1on1 templates. Current Situation: We're using a personalization token for the first name field in our email salutations. When a contact doesn't have a first name, we want the salutation to default to just "Good Morning" without any extra spaces. However, the current behavior adds an unwanted space, resulting in "Good Morning ," (note the space before the comma). Proposed Improvement: It would be incredibly helpful if HubSpot could implement smarter handling of empty personalization tokens. Specifically: When a personalization token is empty and no default value is set, HubSpot should automatically remove any trailing spaces and punctuation associated with that token. Alternatively, provide an option to specify how empty tokens should be handled (e.g., remove associated punctuation, keep as is, etc.). Allow sequences to utilize a "best time to send" feature like in prospecting emails.   Current enrollment in a sequence does not provide an option for varying the automatic send time of scheduled emails based on higher probability of engagement. You can schedule the times in the future but this is not adaptive and does not take into account data from each user.   This feature is already allowed within individual prospecting emails but cannot be part of a sequence. Currently, there's no customization for holidays and business days in Sequences. There's no efficient way to exclude any specific days when setting up a sequence. The only option available now is to exclude "Business Days", which is just Mon-Fri for every week, not taking any holidays into account.    It'd be nice to have the customizable option to: 1) Exclude any specific day 2) Custom our own "Holiday Calendar" and exclude these days   Additionally, once there are contacts enrolled to a sequence, edits to "delay time" in between steps do not reflect on currently enrolled contacts. The only way to do it is to manually unenroll those contacts and re-enroll them. However, there's also no way to keep track of those contacts except for manually documenting them. ...read more

Hi team! Creating this for a customer:  Currently, after a contact has completed the sequence, it is only possible to re-enroll the contact in the sequence from the beginning of it.  The only workaround to this would be to create a new sequence with just the added steps, and then enroll those contacts to make sure they don't go through steps they already went through.  This is not ideal for tracking purposes as it created two different sequences with separate tracking in terms of opens/clics/replies/etc... It would be amazing to have the option to re-enroll contacts at a chosen step in the sequence! ...read more

Hi, I want to set up sequencing to automate follow-up pings to qualified leads that have not responded within X days. We are using the Sales Hub Enterprise and can trigger sequences on different criteria. The major issue is that we want to continue the earlier conversation and not start a new one. It would be ideal to have a straightforward and scalable way to exclude contacts from sequences based on list memberships, similar to marketing emails.  If a contact has bounced globally, is unengaged, etc., they should not be able to enroll in a sequence. Bounces from sales emails are not tracked quite the same as marketing emails.  Better managment of email send status on sequences would allow for improved email health, deliverability ratings, etc.  ...read more

Hello product team,   For HubSpot admins, one of the biggest challenges is keeping a portal organized, cleaned up and prevent overall chaos. Especially in Enterprise portals with sometimes hundreds of users, it's almost impossible to get users to follow a naming convention for email names, landing page names, workflow names. Quickly this becomes a cat and mouse game where HubSpot have to constantly chase and remind users to name their assets correctly.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for users?   Naming conventions are usually documented outside of HubSpot, in a wiki, stored as a Google Doc or something similar along the same lines. Forcing them to interrupt what they're currently doing, look up a naming convention and then come back means that they're losing time. They also have to leave HubSpot momentarily. Even then, they might misunderstand the naming convention and type in an incorrect name.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for admins?   Incorrect naming means that list or workflow filters for Recent conversion might not work. It can also mean that reports become a mess, if these reports are pulling in asset names.   If admins have to look into this on a permanent basis, in portals where there are new assets every day, this takes time away from developing the HubSpot portal and generating more value for all users.   Here's what a solution could look like   To solve this, it would be great if there were tools to enforce a naming convention. Ideally, admins would specify what constitutes a correctly named asset and similar to the forms editor, arrange fields to their liking.   Here's a quick mockup of what this could look like when creating a new page.     The user could select from dropdowns which team they belong to, the language of the assets, the asset type, include a title and date. The system would then generate a title from this that cannot be further edited.   Admins should be able to specify the options for each dropdown, separators, order and field validation (e.g. max length for a title).   (In case this is eventually introduced, please consider to make this a feature that is at least included in all Professional and Enterprise subscriptions.)   I would love to see this for all assets in HubSpot: emails, workflows, lists, campaigns, imports, properties, files etc.   Thanks in advance for reviewing! ...read more
