On behalf of our customers.   The User Story & Use Case As a Director managing a HubSpot Enterprise portal with the Business Units add-on, multiple brands are managed within a single portal. Approximately 10+ marketing emails a week are sent across different streams (2 emails/week per brand). Our goal is to create Active Lists (Dynamic Segments) for audience targeting based on recent engagement with specific brands.   Specifically, we need to target contacts who have clicked a marketing email associated with Brand X in the Last 30 Days. Because customers cross over between brands, we cannot simply use "Last Marketing Email Clicked" generally; it must be specific to the brand's email stream. The Problem Currently, the "Marketing Email" filter in the Lists tool (Active Lists) is severely limited for high-volume senders: No Text Operators: You cannot filter interactions by  Marketing Email Name   contains  [Text]. You are forced to select specific individual emails within multiple OR groups. No Rolling Dates for Specific Selection: When selecting specific emails, you often cannot apply a rolling "occurred in the last X days" filter easily across a dynamic group of emails. No Business Unit Filter: There is no native option to filter "Marketing Email Clicks" by the associated Business Unit. The Current Roadblock: To build this segment today, a user must manually select every single email sent by that brand using "OR" logic. With 5 streams and weekly sends, this requires constant manual maintenance of the list criteria every week. Current Workarounds (And why they fail) Workaround 1: Select emails individually. Failure: Not scalable. Requires constant manual updates to the list definition every time a new email is sent. Workaround 2: Create a Journey Report filtering by "Email Name" > Select Marketing Email clicked event > Drilldown > Add to Static List. Failure: This creates a Static List. For an "Always On" retention campaign, we need contacts to drop off the list automatically if they haven't clicked in 30 days. Static lists require daily manual export/import or manual additions, which defeats the purpose of marketing automation. The Ideal Solution We request an update to the Active Lists tool to allow for dynamic filtering of Marketing Email interactions. 1. Filter by Email Name (Nomenclature) Add a text operator to the Marketing Email interaction filter. Criteria: Contact clicked a link in Marketing Email. Refine by: Marketing Email Name  Contains any of  [Value] (e.g., "GCG_Brand"). 2. Rolling Date Ranges Ensure these text-based filters support rolling date ranges. Refine by: Occurred in the  Last   30   Days . 3. Business Unit Filtering Alternatively, allow users to filter interactions directly by the Business Unit the email was assigned to. Criteria: Contact clicked a link in Marketing Email. Refine by: Business Unit  is any of  [Brand Name]. Impact Implementing this feature would allow multi-brand Enterprise customers to build automated, low-maintenance retention segments. It bridges the gap between the granular filtering available in Reports and the automation required in Segments/Lists. ...read more

Just like there is a native property "Number of Associated Deals" or "Number of Associated Contacts" on the Company object, I am in dire need of expanding this to all objects and have an 'Associated' Property on all objects. Beginning with "number of associated Leads" on Company, Contact, and Deal. And on Leads: "number of associated Companies, Contacts, Deals, etc" But it should be everywhere: Any Ticket should have a Number of Associated "Fill in Object" for each object. Any Deal, any Lead, any Service, any... you name it. I have been building for several customers, and have to find all kinds of weird workarounds to be able to reference the fact that there is a related/associated record on a different object, when it should be there out of the box. It affects everything, from Workflows to Reporting to anything you want to build or do or connect. It is EXTREMELY frustrating that changing the Marketing Contact Status to Non-Marketing Contact is only updated once a month.    For one, you cannot tell by looking at a record if you have marked it to be changed the next month. You have to go through several steps to figure this out which is a waste of time.    Second, this appears to be purely a monetary benefit to HubSpot. HubSpot has NO restriction on making a contact a Marketinh Contact and adding more contacts to your monthly bill, however, it restricts being able to control maintaining the same contact level. This is beyond frustrating.    IF YOU CAN IMMEDIATELY CHANGE A CONTACT TO A MARKETING CONTACT, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY CHANGE IT TO A NON MARKETING CONTACT!!!!!!!! I cannot think of one case that the benefit would be that this only happen once a month, other than it being that HubSpot can make MORE money off their customers.   Business changes frequetly, contact status changes frequently, we, THE CUSTOMER, should not be punished for doing business.    ...read more

It would be so helpful if we could filter by 'has ever been any of' for ANY property. Currently we can only use this type of filter on a select few properties.   There are so many use cases for this, for example yesterday I was trying to find out how many meetings which were originally scheduled for Sep 17 had moved to another date. It would have been so easy if I could filter meetings by 'Activity Date has ever been any of Sep 17', rather than having to do crazy workarounds to get that simple information.   Hubspot saves the change history for every property, and that information is in the CRM for us to access via the property history - why not via filters too?  ...read more

Hello product team,   For HubSpot admins, one of the biggest challenges is keeping a portal organized, cleaned up and prevent overall chaos. Especially in Enterprise portals with sometimes hundreds of users, it's almost impossible to get users to follow a naming convention for email names, landing page names, workflow names. Quickly this becomes a cat and mouse game where HubSpot have to constantly chase and remind users to name their assets correctly.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for users?   Naming conventions are usually documented outside of HubSpot, in a wiki, stored as a Google Doc or something similar along the same lines. Forcing them to interrupt what they're currently doing, look up a naming convention and then come back means that they're losing time. They also have to leave HubSpot momentarily. Even then, they might misunderstand the naming convention and type in an incorrect name.   Why is this currently a bad user experience for admins?   Incorrect naming means that list or workflow filters for Recent conversion might not work. It can also mean that reports become a mess, if these reports are pulling in asset names.   If admins have to look into this on a permanent basis, in portals where there are new assets every day, this takes time away from developing the HubSpot portal and generating more value for all users.   Here's what a solution could look like   To solve this, it would be great if there were tools to enforce a naming convention. Ideally, admins would specify what constitutes a correctly named asset and similar to the forms editor, arrange fields to their liking.   Here's a quick mockup of what this could look like when creating a new page.     The user could select from dropdowns which team they belong to, the language of the assets, the asset type, include a title and date. The system would then generate a title from this that cannot be further edited.   Admins should be able to specify the options for each dropdown, separators, order and field validation (e.g. max length for a title).   (In case this is eventually introduced, please consider to make this a feature that is at least included in all Professional and Enterprise subscriptions.)   I would love to see this for all assets in HubSpot: emails, workflows, lists, campaigns, imports, properties, files etc.   Thanks in advance for reviewing! ...read more

Idea: Make all Date-filters available everywhere they are relevant.   Background:  Hubspot is missing date-filters in multiple places and is not consistent (i.e. different date-filters are available at different places) about them. This issue drastically reduces the power of filters, reports, automation and marketing, etc. Fixing that would be high impact, it's a core platform feature, with impact on all products.   There has been 15+ ideas on the forum about missing date-filters for filters, reports, lists, workflows, ... everything. Those ideas were at first aimed to request one date-filter in one place. This master idea aims at grouping all smaller ideas, giviing visibility to this "Date-filters" issue and getting it prioritized as one overall review of "Date-filters" across Hubspot. Because the only solution is for Hubspot to fix Date-filters everywhere, by working just on that.   Things currently not possible on Hubspot (i.e. use cases): 1/ Filter contacts with last activity is more than 10 days ago 2/ Filter deals with a close date that is in the past 3/ Build Report on Deals with last activity is more than 30 days ago I want to give my sales team a filter of contact not contacted since 14 days. I am expecting to go to contact and to save a filter but the Date-filter required to do that is missing. 4/ Build List of Contacts with customer/deal who expire in the next 30 days 5/ Build List of Contacts with deal created last week. Etc...   Research: I've been comparing all Date-filters and noticed there are 11 types of Date-filters currently available on Hubspot (see screenshot below). The issue is that those Date-filters are randomly available on: - Contact WF but not Deal WF - on List but not on Report - on Dashboard but not Contact Table Etc. There seems to be no logic and that this is just the results of features coming one after the other while Date-filters never receiving focus as one topic.   This feature request is not about creating new Date-filters but only about making all the ones currently existing available everywhere, it is relevant to have them. Right now I can use negative statements to say a property value "does not have X" "is not X" or is empty. However this falls apart a bit when we start working with associated objects in workflows.    For example, I want to enroll a company into my workflow if they have not had a closed won deal in the past 12 months, off the top of my head I might build a filter like this that says bring me in anyone who has had a deal close in the past 12 months and that deal has not been closed won:      However, if a company in my account had a deal 4 months ago that was closed lost, and a day 2 months ago that was closed won, they would still enroll in this workflow because they are still associated with a deal that is not closed won within the past 12 months.    There are two, very messy workarounds for this:  1. Use association labels for "open" deals, or "won"/"lost" deals, to target these deals specifically in the workflow criteria.  2. Just create a list, I can create a list of all companies who have closed won deals in the last 12 months and just set my enrollment criteria to be "company is not on this list".      2 works perfectly to be honest but introduces another asset to be mantained and considered when trying to keep a CRM clean. Using lists as workflow enrolment criteria is unwieldy and will almost always become an unscalable mess in the long run.    Can we just have an associated object filter for "is NOT associated to an object with this criteria" is seems like a huge oversight that has cause some absolute stresses trying to think through the double negatives and filter criteria tbh.    ...read more

I'd like to create a list of our contacts that have at least one additional email. I can't find a relevant field to use as a filter in creating a list of such contacts. Similarly, when creating a list of all contacts, I can't find a field to include in the list that will show a contact's additional email addresses, if any. It would be nice if "additional emails" was more usable in list creation.   Per this question/answer, I was able to export the list of all contacts and include the additional emails, so getting this data is possible without the List functions, but it is perhaps a bit inconvenient. ...read more
