Salesforce is our primary systrem of record for a lot of information, however HubSpot is our Marketing Automation platform for Marketing data. We write information to Contacts in HubSpot that should never change. Because of this, we'd like to have a field mapping option to Salesforce called Always Use HubSpot or Prefer HubSpot unless Blank.  Right now, valuable Marketing information is sycned to Leads in Salesforce, and if the Lead is converted to a Contact, some of that data is lost since not all of it moves to the Contact record upon conversion in Salesforce. If we have Two Way set as the integration setting, it will see the Salesforce value of [BLANK] and then overwrite that field in HubSpot to blank as well. ...read more

I created a custom object in Hubspot called SFDC Campaign and synced it with the Salesforce native campaigns object.  I enabled the contact association and set the primary association field to be campaign member. Basically, our hope is that the number of campaign members in Salesforce would match the number of Hubspot contacts associated with the SFDC campaign.   This unfortunately isn't the case because the integration only creates associations between HubSpot custom objects and Salesforce Contacts, not Salesforce leads.    We need to be able to associate Salesforce leads with custom objects. ...read more

You can't create a deal without a deal pipeline, and you can't map "Deal Pipeline" to anything else except Opportunity Record Type. Not everyone uses Opportunity Record Types in Salesforce, and if they do, it's not always an accurate translation to say that Opp Record Type = Deal Pipeline.   The fact that this mapping to the Deal Pipeline is automatic, with no option to change, makes it impossible for those who don't use Opp Record Types to map their opportunities to HubSpot without them having to change their process in Salesforce and add additional ongoing maintenance.   This default mapping seems very arbitrary and I've run into multiple clients in the past few months who either don't use Record Types for their Opportunities or don't want a new pipeline created for each one.  ...read more

We connected HubSpot to Salesforce. In Salesforce we have companies with multiple linked contacts, each is given a specific association label (primary, technical, regular). As HubSpot now supports association labels, it would be great if this would be included in the standard integration between HS & SF!   In HubSpot, on companies, we only see multiple linked contacts, but without association label.   Using a property on a contact is not a solution, because contacts can be linked to multiple companies with different association labels.   Thanks! We use both systems, and both have ability to create parent-child relation for companies, however that information doesn't sync. Would be great to be able to just do it once in Salesforce or HubSpot, and that information would be visible in both systems. ...read more

Hi We use 2 business units following a company acquisition. Each company uses its own salesforce account. Hubspot does not have a way to separate/connect two SF accounts with one for each business unit. We can only manage business unit regarding this way (https://knowledge.hubspot.com/account-settings/manage-brands-with-business-unit#install-the-hubspot-tracking-code-for-a-business-unit) and it's not optimal.
