In the Gmail Sales extension, a contact who is logged to but not a recipient in an email thread disappears from default logging options on the third email in the thread. Given that the second email in the thread DOES log to the contact record, the third email in the thread should also log to the contact record, even if that contact is not among the email recipients. Here is our use case: As a manufacturer's rep agency, our sales reps sometimes need to confirm with the manufacturer that it's OK to work with a lead that comes to our website. So the first step after new lead Joe submits a contact form on our website is a sales rep sends an email to sales manager Jane. That email to Jane needs to be logged to Joe's contact record since it's ABOUT him, but Joe is not copied on the email. Jane replies to our sales rep yes or no on working this contact, and that reply is automatically logged to both Jane's and Joe's contact records in HubSpot. Even though Joe is not copied on this email from Jane, the reply is logged to his contact record as expected. So far, so good. Our sales rep replies to Jane's reply to provide more details, and here's where the issue happens. Joe the new lead is no longer an option in the default logging options in the Gmail extension, even though this is the third email in a thread where he's been logged to. The result is that the third email in a thread typically does not get logged to Joe's contact record. This means that if a sales rep goes to Joe Lead's contact record, the most recent correspondence is not visible. The sales rep looks at the contact's timeline and assumes they need to reply to the sales manager when in fact that email has already been sent. A fix for this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
