Hello HubSpot Team,   We have been using the Marketing SMS & Marketing SMS Replies function for a few weeks now and it has been amazing. It has helped with getting user engagement moving and we also see a decent number of replies that our team follows up with. It would be amazing to expand this offering to other countries, similar to what you did with calling (the "HubSpot Numbers Expand Globally").   This is quite specific for us, but being able to support the UK would help and I have seen others request similar things in the past (see here). This would allow us to ensure we use HubSpot for all our needs rather than having to onboard & integrate another solution as well as add another app that the CS & Marketing team have to navigate too.  ...read more

I would love to see Automated SMS attributed to goals inside of workflows. We have an SMS only workflow and the only way to track goals from it is UTMs inside of another tool.   Talking with Hubspot support, only automated emails get goal attribution. I know SMS is working to meet the goal because of my other triggers outside of Hubspot, but having the data populate inside hubspot is necessary so that I don't have to do a workaround to take leads out of a workflow. ...read more

WhatsApp allows for links to be embedded into their buttons, not only to track the clicks in the reporting but to also "hide" the utm parameters so they don't create an ugly, long URL recipients may not want to click. Especically since only SMS has the link shortener capability that happens automatically.   As we're using WhatsApp for transactional messaging, I was shocked this was a limitation with WhatsApp and with the HubSpot builder. With 13k link variations across multiple domains we serve, having the WhatsApp link be personalized by a HubSpot property is absolutely vital.    In the short-term it would be great if HubSpot could shorten the link and have automatic utm tracking like they do for SMS, but the long-term, having this be a truly dynamic link based on a property value is paramount.    WhatsApp, just like SMS, is limited to only Contact/Company properties. We just sent out our first SMS message through HubSpot. We were disappointed to learn that there is no de-duplication of mobile numbers, similar to how HubSpot de-dupes email addresses. If you have multiple contacts with different emails, but they have the same mobile phone number, those contacts will get duplicate SMS messages.    Additionally, there is an analyze tab for SMS, but there is no indication of when reporting will show up. It's only been 24 hours, but there is no data to confirm that our message went out. Our marketing team would love to be able to use shortcodes and customizable keywords in our SMS marketing, to make it easier for contacts to Subscribe, Reply, and interact with our brand.   For example, instead of our CTA saying, "Text Subscribe to (xxx) xxx-xxxx to receive our newsletter", we could say, "Text GOLF to 12345 to receive our weekly Golf news!" and be able to customize that for different segments + content.      ...read more

At the moment, Hubspot-provided numbers can only be used for inbound/outbound calling (eg: similar to a landline). This means that text messages will not go through and will be rejected.   I understand that HubSpot-provided numbers are attributed by Twilio's service, which cannot be used for SMS purposes at this time. However, I hope the teams can work together to help support the same number for calling and smses.    This can be a blocker for customers because they'll require 1 number for SMS and another number for calling.  ...read more

With the addition of SMS in HubSpot, it would be great if the SMS messages could use properties from a custom object AND be sent as part of a custom object workflow. Same with WhatsApp.   We can send emails to associated contacts in a custom object workflow using custom object properties, but having the ability to do the same for SMS/WhatsApp would be amazing.    Right now, the only workaround is sending data from the custom object record to the contact record, and then having a contact workflow trigger based on that property being known. This is not ideal as it adds time to something that should be quick, and it increases the likelihood a message may be missed or delayed as we're waiting on 2 workflows doing the job a single workflow should be able to do. ...read more

Due to the rise in scams, making sure that our contacts are receiving information directly from us is important. Something that I've seen brands do is send customers their contact card so it can easily be saved in their phone. This way, when we send an SMS, they know it is from us and that it's important so they don't ignore it with other Marketing texts. Additionally, it would help them know that if they get a random number texting them pretending to be us, it's not because of the contact card being saved and popping up when we text.  ...read more
