Currently it is possible to add a Product (from the Product Library) to a Deal, and modify its name.   It's not possible to restrict Name changes (as you can for other Properties) based on Profile or user. This means that Reports on Line Items in a Quote or sold may not be entirely accurate, since the Line Item names may not match if a user inadvertently makes a change. Whilst we can train users not to do that - preventions is better than cure 🤒   My client requires more control over who can make certain changes to the properties on a Line Item when being added to a Deal, but specifically the Name. I am not sure if this has been brought up ever, but I am getting a lot of complaints from sales reps saying that finding a part number when adding a line item is extremely difficult with a large product library like ours. It seems that when you search for the SKU when adding a line item, the search results only show the item name with no clear indication of what SKU that item name is paired with.    My suggestion is that the SKU should be the main text from the search results and the item name would be in grey text underneath so that the rep can tell which product is which. Does this sound like something that could be achieved? It would be great if we had the option to add 'Quotes' as a section in the right side bar in the Company Record so we can see all quotes associated with the company.   This saves us time having to go into each deal to see what the latest Quote the customer has signed. ...read more

I am trying to set up automated deal alert notifications via workflow that trigger when a deal is moved to Closed Won it sends an email notification to the relevant members of our team that then need to go and action accordingly.   The email would be sent to our Operations, Marketing and Finance teams so Operations can execute the deal, Marketing can market their involvement, and Finance can then go and send an invoice.    Within our notification we then include what products they purchased, and who from the company needs to be contacted for finance, for marketing, for operations.    I have created Company association labels for the contacts to be assigned to, but am unable to insert these data fields into the workflow email    I am also unable to insert the Products on the deal into the email either.    It would be great if workflows could support this functionality in the future  ...read more

We would like the ability for customers to be able to chose a quantity of specific line items on our quotes. For example, they might want to opt for an additional installation service for the hardware they are buying vs doing it themselves. There is a teasing column in the quote editor titled "Buyer selected Quantities" but we are not able to change this either through the UI or by using the `hs_allow_buyer_selected_quantity` field when raising one via the API. Having spoken to support, we gather this is available if you enable the payment links, but this limits it to customers who want to pay on-line. As a B2G business, we take precicely zero card payments - it's all done by bank transfer with the contract backed by a signed quote. We are requesting that the "Buyer selected Quantities" be available in the quote editor and via the API to let a customer change the numbers before finalising with an e-signature. ...read more

Hi Hubspot, Please let us create Invoices based on Quotes Payment Plans! We love the native Quoting Feature. It saves us hours of time, looks good, and helps my sales team be more focused on selling. We are looking to have the same on the invoicing side once the Quotes are signed. Due to our high Invoices, we always offer 50/50 split payments to help the cash flow of our clients. We always specify that in the payment plan, but Hubspot does not allow us to convert Quotes with Split payments to Invoices. This effectively prohibits us from using the Invoice Feature, as we either have to find a workaround (which is not an Option with Accounting) OR only offer 100% Payments, which also isn't an option. Currently, when you give space for digital signature on a quote, we often get the quote back signed manually, even when there is no space. The reason is 50% customers are digitally not ready to sign (I know it should be easy but you know...), and 50% is mistrust of German business people in digital signatures.   Anyways, currently it is not possible to mark the quote as signed manually. I had to take back the quote, get a new closing date (today or future), change from digital sign to space for signature, republish the quote and only then where able to mark as signed. Now, to me there are two options of making this process easier: A: Mark quote as signed no matter what choice was given for signing it. B: Allow to set up both in the quote, digital sign and manual sign, letting the customer decide what they prefer. For the politic of making the world more digital, I'd go for A. ...read more
