Great minds think alike

I love implementing Playbooks for my clients, but there are a few niggles which could be ironed out to make the experience even better!   Here's my list so far, gathered whilst creating a single Playbook yesterday:   The 'Enablement card' presents tthe recommended Playbook in an odd way and takes up too much space on the Middle tab (very large and displays the first two fields of the Playbook). If you choose to log the Playbook as a Note, any introductory text or personalisation tokens are not added to the Note. It only records the answers to questions in the Note. So a lot of information is missing in the Note. The Question/Answer list (in the Note for the Playbook) repeats the word Notes (and adds a bullet point) throughout - so this makes it more difficult to read. Any formatting in the Playbook, such as Headers, is not shown in the Note that is added. The follow up Task that's created for the Playbook just says 'Follow up regarding note on x Date'. It doesn't make it clear that the follow-up is related to the Playbook completion. When the Playbook is launched for a Deal, I would expect any tokens I've added (Company, Contact) to link the Playbook to those linked records. Currently my Playbook only associates with the Deal record, not with the Company and Contact associated to the Deal. I have multiple Contacts linked to my Deal. I woudl like to merge in data from a specific Contact on the Deal (with a specific Association Label). Currently it seems to merge in the name of the Contact who was last associated to the Deal which is not ideal.  I'm very happy to speak to the Playbooks Product team to help improve the Product. Hi,   On behalf of one of our customers, I would like to suggest an enhancement for our playbook questions feature. Currently, when a user edits a playable question (even adding a space will trigger), all previously entered data associated with that question is lost. This can be quite frustrating for users who want to make minor adjustments without losing important data they’ve already collected.   Suggested Improvement: We propose that HubSpot introduces the ability to edit playbook questions without losing the data of the previously entered information. This would allow users to make necessary changes or corrections to their questions while retaining all the valuable data that has been collected up to that point. ...read more

We are starting to use Playbooks for sales and customer success purposes. It would be great to be able to create reports for the number of times they are used, and also by play book.   Currently Playbook activity is not identifiable as a reportable activity when building reports. ...read more

Since meetings can be created from the left side of the Contact/Company page, it would be nice to have an option to limit the logging of playbooks to existing meetings only, so as to prevent the creation of duplicate meetings. Adding a Schedule meeting button and using playbooks without logging almost works, but since the Meeting button on the left side of the company record cant be removed, there is possibility for scheduling the meeting in the wrong place. 📞 Playbooks should have the option to not log as a call, it should be able to be completed without associating it to an activity. ✨ Playbooks should have the option to be required between stages (deal stages, ticket statuses, and lifecycle stages) 🔁 Playbook questions should be able to copy to a property natively without having an enterprise hub. This feature is SO POWERFUL for SMB and Mid-Market sales teams but never gets used because the enterprise hub isn't worth the upgrade to them. 📚 Playbook completion should be targetable with workflows. Spinning off automation from the playbook being completed OR not completed is a simple workflow that can hold sales reps accountable for accurate data tracking. Hey HS crew,   Not a critical issue by any means, but I think it would be a great ease-of-use feature to make multi-step playbooks.   Just as HS recently introduced multi-step forms, a multi-step playbook would make it super simple to use playbooks while on the phone with customers. Reps could navigate a couple of questions at a time to ensure focus, order, and the comprehensive completion of the playbook.   Right now, we have sprawling playbooks that look more like doctoral theses than a guide someone can use while mid-conversation. It would be really good to have conditional logic on Playbooks, where if on question one the rep selects option A it displays question 2, if they select option B it jumps to question 3 etc. We have a wide variety of enquiries coming into Customer Service and Playbooks could be really beneficial to them, but at the moment I would either have to create multiple playbooks or have questions in there that are irrelevant for certain enquiries. This could also be useful to sales reps as well, particularly if there are product-dependent questions they need to ask. ...read more

We can access templates for emails but cannot access anything in our playbooks. That makes no sense to me.  If I'm mobile and want to send something from playbook like an agreement after a call to customer, I have to go outside the HubSpot to email it from a file source on my phone or have someone email it to me that is on a computer desktop and can access playbook files.  ...read more

I tried looking for other submissions like this but didn't find one... We need the ability to move questions/fields around inside playbooks we're building.        Ex. We'd like to move the 1st question in a playbook to the end of the playbook.   Right now, that means we need to rebuild the playbook just to change the order of questions, and that's a pretty big barrier to Playbooks being useful for us in the spirit of agility and ability "pivot" certain aspects of our sales process if needed.  ...read more
