We use custom project numbering for all Deals when they become projects (meaning we have a signed quote and are moving forward with the project). The project numbers become a part of the Deal Title and the Ticket Title (where our engineers manage their work). However, we need to also be able to use the project number with our invoices, but there is no way to use the current settings to create the correct invoice number from our standpoint. For instance, the project title "240101 Smith 123 Main St NY NY" is used in our cloud archives, our Deal Title and the Ticket Title (as well as any documentation that we generate for the project). We would like the invoice to also have the number 240101. If we have multiple invoices for the same project, then the numbers would be 240101-1, 240101-2. Multiple invoices are finalized at different times based on the completion of deliverables, so the current sequential numbering system doesn't work for us, as we can begin other projects before finalizing the next invoice for 240101 (using our example number). We wanted to use Hubspot invoices manually, since there are only little invoices we create per month with very high volume (hence to expensive with STRIPE). Now, as far as we understand dunning is a very dangerous process with lots of communication and fine tune involved. We ask ourselves if it wasn't a good idea to bring this process to Hubspot with sort of an invoice pipeline (likewhise deals or tickets). Currently, there is no way you can create a cancellation note that equalizes / terminates an invoice. In Germany it is not enough to send an email to your customer letting them know the invoice is no longer due. There needs to be an official document (cancellation note) referring to the initial invoice. It should also be possible to create a cancellation note to only parts of the invoice. ...read more

Hi,   now that we have the Commerce Hub available in the EU, nicely tied into Stripe and even including payment options such as SEPA that are important here, we need to discuss the elephant in the room:   Accounting Integrations   Right now, we have nothing. In the US, at least a Quickbooks integration is available (which in of itself isn't a lot of choice for our fellow US users, either).   We have extensively evaluated Commerce Hub for us, and while we would love to use it, we can't. Especially in the context of Subscriptions, where you have a complex set of "sub-transactions" per transaction (Stripe fees, Hubspot fees, etc.), it's imperative to get this exported into commonly used accounting systems in the EU.   Speaking for Germany specifically: No DATEV (the quasi-standard here) integration = no Commerce Hub.    The only option right now is to do it manually, which is, given it's 2024, not really an option (when looking at thousands of potential transactions).    I would like to know if and what Hubspot is planning on that front.    Thanks Sascha ...read more

Currently I'm trying to sell our accounting reps and repair reps on moving to using HubSpot Payment Links.   The Push back currently is how many clicks it takes to get the payment link up and running.   I'd love to see a quick option to collect payment added. Instead of relying on building a new line item, or relying on the product already exisiting.   Example: Our two main use cases are collecting outstanding balances on accounts varying balance for each company on outstanding balance. The second is for allowing the customer to pay quickly after a repair estimate is given. (tied to our ERP, not quoted in HubSpot). In Hubspot payment links, if a client purchases subscriptions that have different term lengths on them, they get charged separately for each subscription with a different term length (even though they paid through 1 payment link). This is not only annoying for our clients who get hit with 2 different charges every month, but it is also very frustrating for our billing/finance team, when it comes to payout reconciliation. Implementing a feature to consolidate payments on payment links that have multiple subscriptions with different term lengths not only improves the checkout experience for our clients, but also makes reporting much easier for our accounting team. Hi Hubspot Product Team,   I have a physical magazine that I have to organize sales for internationally.    I want to set different prices for different countries based on shipping costs from USA.   I can see two possible solutions for this-    1) adding a custom ship fee option, where customers get to select different ship destination countries that add a custom fee amount to their total. 2) In addition to the checkbox that  says "collect shipping info" on the payment form setup screen, (app.hubspot.com/payment-links/#####/######/settings) add checkboxes for which countries a given product should ship to, then update the dropdowns shown on the embedded form generated by the payment link to allow shipping to those countries only.   Thanks,   Sebastian sebastian@codaworx.com 608-716-4269 ...read more

I use payment links for newsletter subscriptions advertised on my website. I offer a 14 day free trial before the customer is charged. If a customer signs up via my payment link, I do not receive any notification from hubspot because the payment is delayed for 14 days. Currently, the only way I can find out if somebody signs up for one of my subscriptions is going to the Commerce - Subscription page. I manually add new subscribers to a static list but it would be nice to have a notification when the payment link is used versus having to check the Commerice/Subscription page several times a day. ...read more
