We would love to see HubSpot’s invoicing tool support multiple invoice prefixes, each with its own independent numbering sequence. This would be incredibly valuable for businesses that operate multiple service lines, business units, or revenue streams, all under the same HubSpot portal. Use Case Example: For services of Type A, invoices should follow the format 2025A/001, 2025A/002, and so on. For services of Type B, invoices should follow the format 2025B/001, 2025B/002, etc. When creating an invoice, the user should be able to: Select the invoice prefix (e.g., 2025A or 2025B). Have the corresponding sequence automatically incremented based on the selected prefix. Ensure that prefixes do not share or interfere with each other's sequence counters. Why this matters: It improves clarity and traceability for accounting teams and clients. It reflects real-world scenarios where financial operations are segmented by service type, geography, legal entity, or brand. It helps comply with regulatory or internal documentation requirements, especially for organizations operating in multiple countries or offering diverse services. Suggested enhancements: Ability to define and manage multiple invoice prefixes from the settings panel. A drop-down selector when creating an invoice to choose the applicable prefix. Visibility into the current sequence number of each prefix for forecasting and audit purposes. This feature would be a huge win for scalability and financial operations in HubSpot.
