Currently, when a subscription has an overdue payment, HubSpot disables all editing options — including updating the billing date, payment method, or even the subscription details themselves. The message shown is: “You can only edit active and scheduled subscriptions.” However, in real-life scenarios, it's very common for a customer to delay a payment due to administrative reasons, and we may still want to make changes for the next billing cycle — for example, updating pricing, extending billing terms, or shifting the next billing date. Right now, the only workaround is to manually mark the overdue invoice as paid (even when it’s not), just to be able to edit the subscription — which is clearly not ideal and may lead to confusion or compliance issues. We’d like to suggest allowing some level of editing (at least future-facing changes) on subscriptions with overdue payments, without requiring payment reconciliation first. This would help subscription-based teams manage customer relationships more flexibly and accurately. Thanks for considering this!
