It would be very helpful to be able to import postal mail activities through the import tool. Currently the only options are manually on each record or through the api. We work with financial services companies and they send a lot of direct mail through various banking platform providers. The mail sent through those platforms cannot be sent through HubSpot. They also don't always need to import direct mail from all platforms. So, when they do need to know which of their customers has been sent direct mail they often have to use over-complicated methods to get a one-time import into the CRM.

We currently use Google sheets to create and send invoices. We plan to start using Hubspot. It would be great if there was a functionality to bulk import old invoices into the invoice object that we can then connect to deals, so we have all historical and present invoicing data in one place.

People try to import old address books and contact information including emails that have already hardbounced from our system. This is reverting the record information to the old email address that was listed as secondary for record history or re-establishing a new contact profile with an address that the importer assumes is current or contactable. Instead of updating/creating these records, it would be great if the import created an error message instead.

The April '22 rollout of association labels was great and we all love the new super useful labels! However there was an unintended side effect that some of us that work a lot with imports and data management have noticed. Whereas before if you imported contacts (multi-object import) and included a Company ID column - the contact would simply associate to that company as the Primary company (it would replace any existing association) via the import process... Now however, if the contact is already associated to a different Primary Company in HS then it doesn't replace this association. You end up with 2 companies associated to the contact. It adds a new company association leaving the previous association in place. This can cause a lot of mess and confusion - particularly in larger databases. Whilst you can change the label to Primary for the new company via the import by including an association label column you cannot remove the old association. This used to be such a simple process via native imports. Example scenario: - you have a list of contacts who have left their company - you research their new company details - via an import you create the new company and you associate the existing contact to their new company (or you associate the contact to the new company if it already exists in HubSpot) Before Labels rollout - you would have contact associated to their new company and old company removed ✅ After Labels rollout - you now have the contact associated to 2 companies 😫 HubSpot tech support have advised that solutions are possible by using 3rd party tools like Associ8 or Import2 or by custom API work - however to my mind this should not require additional expense or 3rd party tools. This should be part of our HubSpot package - after all we are not asking for new functionality - we are asking for functionality that used to exist but has now been lost. I send emails on behalf of sales reps with personalized token links which include email and calendars. Because these emails are deployed from up to 40 or so reps at a time, it is very cumbersome to manually review one by one which users have their email and calendar status active. These are data points which are available as a column view, but the export does not include any of this information. My idea is as simple as including the following data points, which already exist, on the user export: Calendar Status Email Status Invite Status Thank you.

Connecting my Hubspot data to Excel or a data visualization tool like PowerBI or Tableau should be so easy! I need to create real-time dashboards or reports that are sharable with customers without any need for manual updating. I don't have time to manually export data and format it each week on our outreach for so many customers. How does this not exist yet? This should be supported out of the box just like Hubspot's add-ins for Outlook or Gmail. Please don't send us hunting for 3rd party patches! Thank you

Since HubSpot supports multi-language versions of websites, landing pages etc. it would be benificial to add the choice for data encoding when exporting a list or HubDB database into a CSV file (being able to choose UTF-8 encoding etc. for the languages using special characters or non-romaji letters). At the moment we have to export as an excel file and convert it ourselves, which seems like an unnessecary step, since you already have the data encoding choice when importing from a CSV file into HubSpot.

Actualmente en HS cuando requerimos exportar la data historica de una propiedad, se descarga la BD completa, lo cual en muchos casos no es necesario teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de registros que se puedan tener para la propiedad. No es muy conveniente exportar data de una propiedad que tal vez pudo tiene o pudo tener 30 registros y que para esto tengamos que descargar una BD completa que tal vez pueda superar el 1.000.000 de contactos. Veo muy apropiado se pudiera exportar la data historica real de la propiedad y no la BD completa, por temas de seguridad, practicidad y peso del archivo, ademas de las alertas que genera exceder el tope de exportación sin que sea necesario.

It would be great to have the ability to filter exports by export name/date range/user etc. When you are in a portal with hundreds of users and exports are frequent, being able to filter to your exact export would be REALLY helpful.

The Smart Copy import is woeful and need improvements (perhaps other importing methods too, but this idea post will feature on Smart Copy). Firstly, How does "Smart Copy" importing work? I hid everything on my source site except 200 blog posts. Nothing else is published, yet the import "Smart Copy" found 726 posts, which is not useful. So it doesn't use the links I give it, it ignores the sitemap (which would be the obvious data for it to use?). So how does it work? And can it be improved? Can we have options like "use a sitemap" or "do not follow links past X page"? Now after seeing the mess of posts to import, can we please improve how they are displayed on the screen "Review your blog posts for import" - More pagination - not enough posts are shown at once and no options to change it - Ability to hide posts from this import / move them to "other pages" so we can be clearer on what we want without having to click through 20-50 pages of posts. - Ability to filter by the tags you literally just found. - Ability to destroy the found pages and start again (Re-scanning does not seem to achieve this) - Ability to filter on only posts that have 8/8 mapped elements (this would seperate wheat from chaff) - Ability to change the final import URL i.e. if importing /blog/category/post-title, offer ability to import to /blog/post-title or rename it, or something - Make "multiple selecting holding shift" work - i.e hold shift and click a box, scroll to another and click another box and all between should be selected. See Gmail. Exporting - If exporting to a CSV file, the escaping does not always work if the posts contain HTML/code. - When exporting to a CSV file, some characters are improperly escaped leading to poor looking posts - it's becomes it‚Äôs and lines end with ‚Äù - And once I have selected all the posts I want and then export them/do an action - please keep the seletion afterwards (!).
