When collaborating with team members, especially in a remote environment or even in an office setting, efficiency is key. A common scenario is needing to quickly share a ticket with a colleague. The easiest and most intuitive way is to say, “Take a look at ticket 1456.” However, without partial match search functionality for ticket IDs, this process becomes unnecessarily cumbersome. Currently, I would need to either: 1. Write down or copy-paste the full ticket number. 2. Read out or type out the exact, sometimes lengthy, number. 3. Direct them to search by an alternative, often arbitrary, value. In contrast, tools like Jira Service Desk, Zoho Desk, and Zendesk support partial match searches for ticket IDs. This feature allows users to quickly locate tickets with just a portion of the ID, significantly speeding up workflows and reducing friction in communication. By implementing partial match search for ticket IDs in HubSpot, users could: • Share and locate tickets faster, improving efficiency. • Reduce errors associated with copying or reading out long ticket numbers. • Enhance the overall user experience, especially for teams accustomed to this feature in other platforms. This would not only align HubSpot with industry standards but also make it more user-friendly and practical for everyday ticket management. Looking forward to feedback from the team and the community!
