Great minds think alike

Currently, we are only able to use "weekday" only in a very limited capacity. However, the ability to separate weekdays from weekends is crucial to our systems running smoothly. The below examples represent some of the core functions where we need this ability. I'm sure ther are other use cases in the Hubspot community where this is also needed.   Some examples: We can schedule a task to be do "in X weekdays". However, we can't schedule a task to reoccur every X weekdays. With the time between custom formula, we are not able to exclude weekdays which increases our aging. This would also apply to the "cumulative time" fields that are not a HS default. Through automation, we cannot create a delay for X weekdays. I have noticed that we can look into workflow revision history but we do not have the option to restore that previous revision history. I would really like to be able to restore based off revision history, we can currently do this for landing pages. What is the point of having revision history if there isn't an option to restore it?    I also noticed that if you remove an action at the top of the workflow all following actions and steps are instantly deleted without a warning sign. This is extremly dangerous espically since we cannot restore workflows based on revision history. We just had a very long workflow with an action at the very beggining that needed to be removed. We needed to remove this action and our understanding was that it would just go to the next step in the flow or at least give a warning sign that steps are about to be deleted if you remove this action, but it did not. Now the entire workflow is deleted and we have no way to restore it ourselves.     I wanted to flag this becasue this is potentially very dangerous to user who are updating workflows.    ...read more

I am concerned that when ideas are posted multiple times, the upvotes across all of the simular ideas are diluted and thus potentially ignored or overlooked by HS as not being popular enough. I know, I know -- a valid reponse from HubSpot's perspective might be that people should search old ideas and upvote that, instead of posting a new one. But it's not uncommon to see a new idea posted with some variation of "I know this has been asked for before, but I'm asking it again so HubSpot sees it" -- and the fact that users feel that kind of machination is necessary should tell HS a lot about this shortcoming in the way the Ideas work. I don't know what the fix is -- I will leave that for the UX and dev teams to sort out. But it would be nice if there was a mechanism other than just searching old ideas, or else, if HS does account for this already, it would be nice just to hear from them about how that process works behind the curtain. (If you're not already, you could use your LLM for something like grouping together ideas that are conceptually the same so you'd have a holistic view of ideas. The new Guide Creator tool is really really cool! However, we have some clients that don't like clicking links. So I wanted to convert it to a PDF, but it doesn't seem to work. I tried using the Adobe extention to convert to PDF, and I tried to print it to PDF.  An export option would be very handy. ...read more

Could we please have an option to reorder association lists (i.e. on the right sidebar on desktop, or the Associations tab on mobile) dependent on a specific object property?   i.e. Contacts that have a custom property 'Status' that is set to 'Dead/inactive' should show further down the list than 'Active' ...read more

Hallo ihr Lieben,   ich habe schon mit eurem Support telefoniert als auch per Mail Kontakt gehabt. Leider wurde mir immer mitgeteilt, dass das was wir vor haben nicht möglich ist.   Was wir vorhaben: Wir möchten einen Terminkalender in unserem Shop einbinden, über den unsere Kunden sich selbst einen Termin buchen können. Der Kunde soll also zuerst auswählen können, für was er einen Termin benötigt (Themen sind vorgegeben, Kunde brauch nur auswählen), anschließend sollen freie Tage plus freie mögliche Uhrzeiten angezeigt werden. Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass dies aktuell nicht möglich ist, was sehr schade ist. Is it possible to add an "open all links in new tab" function for blogs? As of now, the default is to have the links open in the same window — if you want a link to open in a new tab, you must manually select each individual link to change the default setting.   For research-heavy blogs, on average we spend an hour per blog solely on clicking on each external link to open in a new tab. As users, since this function is already provided, it would be more efficient to have the option to apply this to an entire body of text.   For our team, this would save us a ton of time. If we could apply this to the entire body to begin with, we could get it done in less than 10 minutes.    Here, you can find a previous HubSpot forum with a similar idea — other people have continuously been experiencing this same issue since 2017. And in terms of SEO, if you’re opening external links in the same tab as your site, this affects both you and your users.    The optimal user experience would be for the external link to open in a new tab, and for the blog reader to continue reading the post, going back to the other tab later. Otherwise, once the reader leaves your website, they likely won’t make it back.    In fact, this HubSpot blog states “opening a link in a new browser window, as opposed to the window they are currently in (your website) makes it less likely that a user will permanently abandon your website for the one you linked to.”    All companies are different. Optimal experiences are different. Workflows are different. We should have the option to decide what works best for us and our clients while having the tools to make our workflow easier.    If we can change link behavior on CTAs manually, why not allow a default setting? ...read more

I'd like to suggest for there to be a way to calculate the ICT carbon footprint (or other widely accepted digital measure) of the hubSpot instance. I have been tasked by my employer to report on our digital imapct as part of the company's global commitment to sustainability.  I understand our sustainability credentials are becoming increasingly important to customers and employees. I'm currently trying to educate myself on the various different measurements for digital impact, but I do not see an obvious way to calculate the impact of our (sizeable multi-hub) HubSpot instance.  If I could even get a size in MB of database + the assets uploaded - that would be a starting point, but this information does not appear to be accessible currrently.  ...read more
